Tony: Hi, my name's Tony. I'm a CPA. I give TaxDome a score of four out of five. Yes, I previously used Smartsheet and didn't fit the bill as it just didn't have all the functionality that I was looking for in terms of signatures, also reminders. That was the primary tool that I used and trying out before switching out to TaxDome. I went to TaxDome primarily for the streamlining of the software. So one, it had billing and a tab contracts. The biggest thing was the auto reminders for the clients. It was a nice, easy way for the system to go ahead and remind the clients to, "Hey, please provide this document," versus me chasing it down. So the multiple options and features of TaxDome was why I switched. To get started, TaxDome, I was on the website and just saw the product webinars and went into each one, watched all five. And from there saw the white glove onboarding service and scheduled a couple sessions with that one. But a lot of it was just clicking around and finding out myself. I would say anyone that's looking for TaxDome, overall be patient with the service. It's really a nice team that's building it that you can see. But you know, out of the box works really well in terms of transitioning over your existing clients, getting new ones, really spending the time upfront to learn the automations and the pipelines. I think my initial investment of that helped make TaxDome easier transition. Would say there is a little bit of a small learning curve, but overall it's open mind and they'll really deliver the results.

Arnitra S.: Hi, I'm Arnitra and I am the owner of consultants, and I give TaxDome a four out of five. I was using Canopy before I bought TaxDome. Canopy didn't work for me because the price, it was too expensive and I know I want to grow my firm and they charge a ridiculous fee per person that I needed to add onto my firm to give access in Canopy. And then just the price overall, it was a lot price here then TaxDome. I chose TaxDome because TaxDome has capability for me to be able to save my tax returns directly from my tech software into my client's portal for signatures and approval. And I don't have to go through the many steps to actually save the tax return and load it to the system. I can just use print to TaxDome directly from our tax software and select my client account, and it would go directly to my client. I also love the fact that TaxDome has a D drive, which is a file exporter drive directly on my computer. Whereas, if I need to send a client a contract for signature or I need to send them a document, or I just need to get their approval for something, I can just copy and paste it directly from my computer into the D drive and then it will automatically show up in my client's portal for them to view and sign and approve. Those are the two things that I love about TaxDome. In addition to the automation of their pipelines and the processes and how the system is set up, once you understand how to use the system, you can save a lot of time by effectively using the pipelines and setting everything on automations so that you're not having to come back in and double back and check on yourself. You can just set it up to auto move your jobs through the pipeline and it just happens effortlessly. TaxDome was very difficult in getting started for me, it was a huge learning curve because this is my first tax business, this my first time working professionally for myself. So to actually buy the software, demo it, and then start using it, it was a huge learning curve for me. But I figured it out and once you figure it out, it's smooth sailing from there. You just have to take the time to actually learn the system. But after you learn the system, I promise you it is going to be your best friend. I do highly recommend that all tax professionals use TaxDome in their business. It is challenging starting out, but like I said, once you figure out the system it's going to be your best friend, it's an all in one system where you can literally have your clients pay their invoices, they can improve their documents, they can upload documents, whatever you need in the process, emails, they have templates ready to go for you for you to use. All you have to do is use the system, input your work into the system and make the system work for you.

I have been able to drastically reduce other subscriptions in my technology stack by approximately $2,300/year by leveraging Tax Dome.
I love that billing, client portal, document sharing, and communications between the firm and the client is so seamless! I use this to manage my practice and scale services in one place. This has been a huge time saver for me without having to switch between multiple systems just to send a email or request key documents.
At this moment, TaxDome doesn't allow for reoccurring payments for monthly clients but this is on their roadmap for implementation. Additionally, just understanding where "FIRM LEVEL" documents can be stored for team use is another place to understand how to be more efficient. I was able to solve for this by making my firm an account and portal to use just like clients! Lastly, I do think it is a huge upfront investment when you have a team of 5 or more, but the annual savings is key here.
Thank you very much, Lynnorra. Your feedback is much appreciated. You can upload documents to the Private folder since this will be visible to you. But, you already found a great solution, it can be more convenient and organized to have a separate account for your firm documents. Thank you for sharing this with us.

Our overall experience with TD has been fantastic. We were able to triple our business within the first year of us using it.
There were three accountants (partners) when we first started this business and we were working out of bedrooms and coffee shops. The only reason that was happening was because we spent 70% of our time just tracking our servicing progress for each client under each different partner. Once we found Tax Dome and moved our client success processes from Trello, Clickup, excel, and other management softwares, we were able to handle significantly more clients with this time. Our absolute favorite feature is pipeline's and being able to automate engagement letters, send invoices, and organizers to collect data.
Features I least like that are within TaxDome is the inbox+ and template (& tag) management. Inbox+ won't show the correct preview text for a notification- meaning a notification would pop up saying a client messaged us, however, the notification was triggered because I myself sent a response message. And for notifications that are actually from clients messaging us will never be properly previewed in inbox+. Template (& tag) management can be greatly improved. When I first started using TD, I created templates for EVERYTHING. Now I use perhaps half of them yet I have not deleted the ones that are not in use simply because I do not know what templates are actually being used in a pipeline. Externally from TaxDome, my least favorite part of it is its inability to integrate with other software such as Zapier, google sheets, and more.
Thank you, Jeffrey. Your feedback is valuable to us. We are happy that TaxDome made the whole process easier for you and your partners. The pipelines save a lot of time and effort so that you can focus on new clients. As for the notifications, you should receive notifications only for new messages and replies from clients, and the team members will get notifications for replies from the firm owner, but there should be no notifications for your own replies. Please reach out to our support team so that they can check on this. For the other parts you dislike, I would like to refer you to the Feature Request Board that we have for our paying subscribers where feature requests can be submitted, and existing requests can be upvoted. We would appreciate if you could share your ideas on how to improve. If there is anything that we can assist you with, please let us know. We will be happy to do so. Have a wonderful day.

It's been good. Most of my clients have migrated without too much trouble.
Ability to request signatures directly from the uploading windows program.
Client access - if a client accesses a signature request link on a shared computer that is already logged on as a different client (spouses) unless they log out, the spouses' signature prompts will be used and they get confused as to why they can't sign.
Thanks so much for sharing your thoughts! We’re glad to hear that most of your clients have made the switch without too much hassle and that you’re enjoying the signature request feature. I totally get your concern about client access on shared computers—it can definitely be confusing for clients who are logged in as another user. We really appreciate you bringing this to our attention. Your feedback helps us a lot, and we’re always looking for ways to make things better. In fact, we’re about to release an update that will specifically address this! The new e-sign without login feature will ensure that the link for the spouse automatically directs them to their part, rather than just taking them to the sign-in area. If you have any more thoughts or suggestions, feel free to drop them here. We're here to help!

I am nearing my 3rd month since paying for the full year license and still do not feel confident in trusting TD to keep my practice on schedule. Finding email messages as "unsent" when I look at them in outlook (but had no indication of an issue when I "sent" them via TaxDome) was my final straw this week and I am now feeling absolutely defeated by TaxDome.
I was impressed with the client portal and paid for the 1 year license based on that ...
Everything else ... (besides the portal)
Thank you for sharing your experience with TaxDome. We're sorry to hear about the challenges you've encountered and understand your frustration. Your feedback about the client portal and your concerns about other aspects of the platform are important to us. We apologize for any issues you've experienced with email messages and understand the impact this has had on your confidence in TaxDome. Please know that we take your feedback seriously and are constantly working to improve our platform and user experience. If you haven't already, we encourage you to reach out to our support team for assistance with any unresolved issues. We value your business and want to ensure we address your concerns to regain your trust. Thank you again for sharing your feedback and for considering TaxDome. We appreciate the opportunity to improve and better serve you in the future.

I purchased a client list from someone using TaxDome, and transitioned into using it. I barely used it the first season because I didn't understand it -- and now I love it and feel it contributes to my efficiency and document security in a way that would be impossible without it.
The ability to keep several methods of communication in one arena -- chats, emails from multiple addresses, etc -- all the while allowing the safe upload and download of documents. The work flows are a great organizational tool.
The user/fee structure. As a small practitioner, the kind that gets great use from TaxDome, we have users that are not primary, can be occasional - part time bookkeepers, seasonal interns, spousal record upkeep, etc. To charge the same for any new users is not cool -- and it leads to sharing of logins, which is not a safe practice.
