It is difficult to train for, the number of clicks it takes to do a single task is horrendous, the software is glitchy and one simple error becomes something not so simple after all.

Writing your own reports is challenging due to a lack of documentation of how and where the system stores data. Ever since implementation, we have had to fight very hard for even simple fixes.

Workday is not for every business

My overall experience with Workday is sometimes frustrating since I cannot get the reports I need to do my job. I work with the filing of 1099s for all the vendors and it's impossible to run reports with the information I need in order to report accurately to the IRS.

Pros

Workday enables businesses to view all their financials in just a few clicks.

Cons

Usually when a report is exported to excel, it's hard to view since the columns contain information that are irrelevant and need to be hidden.

Workday community the best part where you put up issues and get advice from organisation experiencing similar problems. Also to integrate it with other organisational needs like HRM helps report some really important organisational data.

Pros

Easy to use, full coverage of organisational accounting needs.Financial reporting has beend made easier like never before. Helps you manage inventory, reporting and financials of your organisation.

Pros

Workday is used by large companies for a reason - companies with employees throughout the US or even internationally can gain immense value from Workday. It takes a lot of the legwork out of managing financials with large numbers of employees for the company.

Cons

The user interface for actual employees leaves a lot to be desired. Performing even simple tasks can take multiple minutes of digging through menus.

Workday Financials gave us much needed reporting capabilities that we weren't getting from other software. The fact that it integrates with our HRM system makes it easier to drill into certain data sets. Adding attachments to invoices and journal entries has essentially turned us into a paperless office.

Pros

Workday Financials is user friendly and has some great reporting capabilities. The interface looks fresh and it's easy to navigate. Each new release adds additional utility. The Workday Community is a great tool to post ideas and get real world advice from other companies experiencing the same issues.

Cons

Workday runs slow sometimes, especially on days when we're loading payroll and there's a lot of data going through the system. Sometimes Workday gives cryptic and seemingly random error messages.

Pretty good, however the points addressed as dislikes should be addressed as it would make workday more robust

Pros

What I like is the reporting options available in the financials model. It allows us to reconcile grant spending within the award management team along with the depts as all data points are in Workday. Users with the report Writer role are able to construct their own reports and schedule output for specific users as needed. Everything from award creation to sponsor billing can be done from one system.

Cons

There are constraints regarding billing for sponsors on grants for expenses posting outside of award line dates if the company is using a different system for timekeeping. There are also no award or grant compliance checks in workday leaving compliance auditing at risk

Workday does all things accounting

We have had a great experience with the product. We've been able to retire our on-prem hardware and consume the product via the cloud. We've never experienced any downtime and advanced features are offered aplenty.

Pros

What we liked most about the product was the breadth of services available. The interface is easy to navigate and documentation is easy to understand and follow. We are able to manage our accounts payable with ease with Workday!

Cons

There isn't much negative to say about the product but if I had to nitpick I would say that the interface could be snappier. There are some functions which require multiple mouse clicks to access a report which should be easier.

Great functionality for better price

Pros

WFM is definitely more affordable than any of the competitors, especially Hyperion who has astronomical prices for similar functionality. We use WFM primarily for accounting and payroll. It has a user friendly interface, set up was somewhat of a breeze. I like the fact that it's a cloud system, makes everything easier.

Cons

Their help center is lacking. Also for people who are not as tech savvy, it's was surprisingly challenging to find user guides and we had to contact WFM support for that, when they should have been accessible in the first place.

In Oracle Financial Software Services , I worked with a CITI Project CLUE which was Risk Management Tool used for CITI Clients for determining risk factor and other transactional activities. I was responsible for the Automation , Manual testing and Functional requirement gatherings.

Pros

I have very keen interest in this Software which could deal with Programming . I am quick learner , I have tried to do something productive throughout my career till date.

It should not be dependent on schema which makes it high dependency

Pros

Oracle is an outstanding software tool that is used by myself in the financial aspect of my employment. I used three different version of Oracle Financial starting with Oracle10.7, Orcle 11i and Oracle 12. Plus the side tool like Discover Report Writing and it Logistic tools.

Cons

The selections that my management made it what they purchased from Oracle and the Support that they provided to use the tool. I saw what could be done with Oracle by other regions with in my employer. We converted from 10.7 to 11i for one of the main reason was to track and manage our capital budget which for our region was $1.1 Billion Dollars. But after the conversion we had to start all over and start from the ground. Not Oracle fault but the consultants and management fault. We even manage that budget approval process in Excel.

It's system of record, no choice.

Pros

System of record; maintains and help manage financial records; It maintains records and the workflow is some what intuitive; everyone at the company knows about the system, despite its user unfriendeliness.

Cons

Two many click through; too many level of windows.options; I wished it is easier to gather the data once they are included in the system; too many versions (web and client versions); doesn't work well with other web applications

Overall experience is negative.

Pros

Oracle Financials Cloud can be fast. My institution needed something more efficient and we DID achieve that with OFC.

Cons

It is very, very glitchy. Financial submissions that meet all of the criteria and have the appropriate macros integrated will still get rejected by the system. It is not very user-friendly and even the reporting feature glitches out frequently.

inventory control, client management and supplier management is simplified and automated. one is able to track outstanding bills and overdue invoices .

Pros

Customers are able to make safe payments using a variety of options with so much ease. it offers a wide range of options including online payments, mobile payments and even make cash payments directly to your company using Sage 50. Customers can also access their invoices online without having to move to the company.

Cons

Integration with other software is a big problem.

Cumulative Financial Reporting for Multiple Entities Reporting as One

Our overall experience with Oracle Cloud Financials has been very positive. While there is a slight learning curve to become proficient using the software, almost all of our professional staff were comfortable using it within the first week of going live.

Pros

The Finance Team liked that the FCCS platform was hosted "in the cloud" so that multiple people across different locations could be in the software at the same time, posting journals, updating trial balances, and printing financial statements at the same time.

Cons

The IT team had some difficulties importing the data from the Budget System and verifying that the transaction balances that were imported were identical to the transaction balances on the Budget system. This required a lot of manhours reconciling activity spreadsheets from prior periods.

We use the Oracle cloud in our organization for various reasons that are to our liking and it benefits us in quite large quantities, in other outstanding aspects, we can highlight that this program has allowed us to develop very meticulous reports, including that it provides us with help visualizations for big data problems, underlining that Oracle Financials Cloud has guaranteed to create visualizations for all our presentations, which we elaborate frequently, for a dynamic and successful activity.

Pros

Oracle allows the immediate integration of each of the data that a company has, for financial knowledge, and agrees to compare the performance of costs with income, which is a very useful tool, which many organizations keep in mind, Due to the fact that these use options are very prevalent and sophisticated, including that in the cloud through this system, we can visualize several views of the same informative notes, something that is extremely considerable for executives, satisfying different needs, on which they want from their final presentations.

Cons

We can mention that the system can be somewhat complex and difficult for new members who use the software, initially in a short time, which requires more knowledge about the program, for a more fluid management, which the Learning these determinations can become confusing and annoying at the same time, which slows down the work, including that the interface provides very detailed information, which promotes a less understanding about the service.

To be honest, there is not much that I like about this. If you have no choice but to use it, it does have the features needed for contract management and such. However, I can think of an alternative software for every feature that oracle has that would be a better option.

Oracle Fusion is frankly not a fully developed product. As a previous user of server-based Oracle ERP, the lack of operation functionality is mind-boggling. It is awkward to use. 1. Since Oracle cloud is web based, the client has to bear no installation and server fees. Also, the modules are available on any web browser which gives the end user flexibility. 2. Oracle financial cloud has very robust reporting capabilities. Even compared to Oracle EBS, there are a large number of out of box reports, dashboards which can be used as-is. Also, the latest BI features make it very easy to start creating reports using just the UI. 3. The accounting generated using Oracle fusion can be leveraged to meet reporting requirements of most international firms. Oracle Fusion also offers out of box compliance to ASC606 - Reveneue standards. 4. It has integration with Oracle EBS and data can also be imported/exported in excel format.

Cons

1. Oracle Fusion cannot be customized so any data enhancement has to be done outside Oracle, i.e before interfacing the data.
