Despite this - we are continuing to a see decline in software functionality, and as a result are seeing massive impacts on our day to day operations and revenue.

It made scheduling patient’s fairly easy and the patient portal was nice so that communication between patients and practitioners was integrated into the system.

We did a lot of group scheduling which sometimes did not go smoothly which would then make it hard for us to bill those sessions.

For example, to resend 4 medications, you have to select each one, hit "Resend" which then requires you to send each one individually, or save each one to the main console, select each one again, and then send.  

The inability to unsubscribe from marketing emails once I made an account.

The customer service is horrible, the tool is not intuitive, it’s hard to pull reports, the patient portal is horrible, the integration with other software and the API is not good

Many of our clients are frustrated with AMD and think it stinks simply because they have setup issues with preferences, templates, etc.

Be sure to have your salesperson walk you through the eRx function before committing to AMD to be sure you know the inefficiency and lack of user response you are getting into.

The biggest con that I face with the software is the inability as an administrator to delete certain things.

As much as AdvancedMD is dedicated to enhancing their system, there are still some features that either need enhancing or don't exist, which for where we are in technology, could leave AdvancedMD lacking.

Overall, the EHR and PM are powerful, if expensive, but you get what you pay for.

Over the last 17 years Advanced MD EHR system has become much more user friendly and easier to use.  

Some essential features for telehealth are not there, for example an ask to mute feature.

My experienced biller swears by the PM module.   

Once you learn your setup, it's very nice and organized.

Initially, it was easy to use, but in the past couple of years, they don't seem to care anymore.

Almost everything is cumbersome, poorly directed, poor on screen definitions and problem trouble shooting.

The implementation team was terrible and barely trained us, anything I understand about the system is because I figured it out myself through hours of trial & error/google searches/etc.

Chart files located in different parts of the software so you have to log in to an entirely different system (the practice management) from the clinical side.

Need improvements on reporting, other than that, functionality is everything we need.

You cannot change all of the prescription pharmacies at one time, you have to go into each one and change the pharmacy if the patient wants to go somewhere else.
