This is a bottom of the barrel, worst of the worse of all EHR charting systems I've used.

The system and processes have not improved.

Hospice nurse 

This is the most cumbersome and aggravating documentation system to use while in the field/at bedside

I like that this software mergers with other and makes it easier to transport client info into an organized platform.

I really love the different options you have to upload documents in attachments and where you can put Wound Pictures or separate your Paper Visit Notes for billing.

I found the orders tracking a little difficult since you have to put a date and comment on each order you fax out, which can be very time consuming when working with a busy office who has a lot of orders.

It hasn't been too bad, and service outages are rare, however, there have been several times where HCHB support has apparently given up, with responses like "Must be a device issue" or "Uninstall/reinstall Citrix".

I do wish there was a way to mass stamp your orders with a date and a comment and fax them all out as one batch with a select all click.

It makes almost nothing easy, you can erase the prompts if you want which seems concerning, and often it forces you to do doublework.

IE maybe an inconsistent box that you cannot type/search in when all other boxes are - would be hard to get this resolved since its not a pain point but still is an annoyance for an end user.

Extremely robust program, can customize to your agency but also ensures you stay within regulatory requirements.  

Because of my dissatisfaction with the software and because I was no longer being paid hourly, but per visit at my part time home health job (which made the inefficiencies  of the electronic medical record (EMR) all the more frustrating) I looked for other job opportunities.   When one came up, I put in notice saying that once I discharged my caseload of patients, I would leave the company.

In addition, although there are many reports that provide the data needed, there are also not reports for obtaining a list of all providers listed in the physician tab by client.

I also like that with each report, there are descriptions so you know what exactly can be filtered and selected for the data you are looking for.

Not at all intuitive, tons of internal issues and errors and constant issues with syncing and refreshing cause frequent service failures and compliance issues.

This piece of software crap flies in the face of everything speech pathologists do.  

For some reason you can only type in capital letters (which makes distinguishing between pt (patient) and PT (Physical Therapist) annoying.

We went from a junky system that was at least flexible to a junky rigid system that kills time for you.

I would advise organizations to think carefully before making a decision and at the least do not get locked into a contract with Homecare Homebase before having the oppurtunity to extensively test it.

We have been sticking android tablets with poor hardware as the developers refuse to make an apple port for this.

I was tasked with selecting and deploying a new home health care solution and I personally chose Homecare Homebase.

Time management suffers, efficiency and case load suffers.

Reports can be pulled into multiple formats for ease of use and review.

Manage multiple components of home health care.

Malfunctions started to disrupt our entire workflow.

Missing features and poor feature quality.

There is much room for updating and improvement.

This review does not even mention to broken link between HCHB and PointCare (the tablet version for field clinicians).

Such a heavy workload and so many extra steps for everything.

The importance of research and reviews is something I won't forget -- ever again.

It is difficult to find any information from prior visits to determine what actions were taken in a session and follow up as needed.

User still has to use some form of spreadsheet tracking to make sure they don’t miss anything.
