I like the organization of the program and the ability to provide templates that are necessary to my use. I love how the program has set up mental health and physical disorders already recorded in order for me to use when dealing with diagnostic tools.
It feels complicated and has too many options for me to use when first starting out. Not user friendly for beginners.

I was referred to from a friend who uses it. I agree that it's the way to go. I could have gone with an "out of the box" EHR which would have got me up and using it faster however I would have been frustrated with the lack of customization in the end.
adaptability to my needs e fax data input from patient prior to their appt patient educational materials I can send handouts and information to patients after the appt. I don't have to click on too many pages to get through my note
Not super mental health oriented, like other EHRs It almost feels like too much customization at times (but in the end this is a good thing) Not always user friendly when just trying to get from one point in the chart to the next.

I've been checking my customer's EHRs in order to determine whether some procedures can be authorized. So far no hiccups!
DrChrono has an amazing organization template for electronic health records which sometimes I must check as an insurance dr.
This software is obviously made for doctors who have their own practice, it is not as user-friendly to others who might need access to a patient's EHR

Their customer service is broken, to the point that if you have suggestions for them, they direct you to a forum where your post will be never be read by the "developers".
I think the product does a good job at collecting information, and makes it easy to store important health data for patients.
Not very good at generating reports. Does not organize data in the way that would work best for my company. Customer service is poor.
Hello Mickey, Thank you for taking the time to provide your review. We take each and every feedback seriously, and would like the opportunity to make this right. Your account manager has already reached out to you and we would like to work with you directly to provide the appropriate training on various reports the system can generate. We would also like to mention that our developers are taking...

Horrible. My practice is in shambles as a result of this company's misrepresentations. Yet even knowing this the 45 minute talk I had with their director of sales did not include any apologies or remorse for their tactics. It was one of the infallibles shrugging off any responsibility as he looked proudly down upon the sheep. "It's your ex wife not your new one" he said!
Bells and Whistles looked good and promising for tele health visits and specific customization. Again, a beautiful building set on a faulty foundation.
In their fervor to make a sale they tell you that you are perfectly fine importing data from your last EMR and ready to go on day 1. After the sale they tell you that they can not predict how the upload will go and you may not have some of your data. In our case, we did not have any of the data! Imagine manually re-entering the data from the last 20 years. Run! Run! Run!

I was able to have a platform that housed many functions in one place such as scheduling, billing, eprescribing, patient reminders, registration, EHR, emailing, etc.
I like having all the features in one place such as scheduling, billing and patient reminders. I also like the easy patient check-in function and the e prescribing function.
Some challenges getting past some of the errors when registering patients. When you register the patients the tab for adding health insurance is not as easy as I would like it to be.

I purchased this software for my primary care practice, the features seemed to fit very well. After eight months, and $10,000 paid, I have no product. After paying over $5000 to my existing software product to package the data onto a thumb drive, they were never able to extract the data. The TechTeam was clearly inept, inexperienced, and woefully lacking in training, experience, or knowledge. Countless...
Integrated fax, calendar, messaging, all needed functions of the office and the health record combined into one software
Very poor customer support, and lack of knowledge by support teams

- A fully integrated EHR system that can be used as efficiently on a tablet as the PC. - Great customer service called 'health checks.' - Constantly updating software.
- Would like to see more customization and a revamp of the patient groups feature. Patient groups is a nice feature but it is not fully fleshed out. Please integrate custom column headers like a spread sheet.

Once again, an EMR that may meet the needs of administrators, but fails to help those who actually provide the health care services.
- Lots of pre-programmed macros - built in dictation works well - Electronic prescribing works well on app based version (but zip code needed to find a pharmacy using the web based version)
- Web based version very different from app based version - illogical provider work flow - steps needed to navigate through the system are unintuitive - very small fields in which to enter patient data (med hx, fam hx, soc hx, etc.) - Program did not initially store any patient data that was entered - i.e., patient information such as medical hx, fam hx, etc., was not being saved. I've been using dr chrono for almost a full year in practice and so far so good. I love the ease of use that the cloud-based system. The training and Customer service are great and they are always reaching out to see how things are going.
The ease of use once everything is set up. The amount of reports that you can run to make sure you have a complete view of the health of the practice.
Time to set everything up. ( but it's worth the time you put into it) Check in kiosk needs to be a little smoother.

It is a fantastic supplement to use for students to gain real life experience with an electronic health record. They complete assignments using this program and affords them the opportunity to gain hands on before joining the work force.
It is user friendly, easy to navigate and provides a real life experience. I use it as a teaching tool in the health information program and it gives students experience in navigating through an EHR as well as what it contains
Their is nothing that I don't like about this program. It is intuitive in nature and easy for the students to use while completing assignments.

I don't have any general comments about DrChrono. As I mentioned earlier, the students find the software very easy to use. I will continue to use DrChrono to teach about electronic health record systems
Ease of use and easy to use features. The software is easy to navigate through. Students find the software easy to use.
I don't have any cons with DrChrono. When compared to other software used in the past, Dr. Chrono supersedes them.

Unfortunately, Dr. Chrono is only capable rudimentary practice management functions. I cannot recommend the product and stopped using it over a year ago, switching to another product.
I don’t like anything in particular about this practice management software. I have experience with many practice management softwares. The support was probably the best thing about it, but unfortunately their health is limited because the capacity of the software is limited.
Searchability and reports. As a medical director, I was unable to do the data searches required and task completions that were required. That’s not even speaking on the business end where the financial interface was poor.

We use this software in our high-volume dermatology clinic. Having used other EMRs (Nexgen, AdvancedMD, EMA, eClinicalWorks and EPIC) I can definitively say that Chrono is the best. It is easy to customize, easy to use, has the best ipad functionality, excellent customer support, fair pricing and is fast. We invested the time up front to customize the templates to our workflow; this has resulted in very fast and precise documentation that lacks the other 'junk' that EMRs tend to include - our referring doctors appreciate this. I would highly recommend DrChrono.

Patients save me time and charting by communicating through the onpatient portal. I can run reports and have an immediate idea of what symptoms and frequency my patients are presenting and develop educational materials that support those diagnosis. I stay on top of my day by way of daily schedule emailed to me every morning.
Seamless integration with my MacBook, iMac and iPhone. Fast, knowledgeable support. The unlimited ability to customize for my sole practitioner non-force chiropractic practice. Easy to understand video tutorials which answer most questions without having to contact support. Robust, integrated systems, such as the ability to provide credit card processing. Knowing that drchrono is a leader and partner with Apple Health.
I get frustrated when I am on a learning curve with a new part of the software. But that's my problem!

I worked at a startup building medical devices and we wanted to integrate EHR vendors into our product. It was really to integrate DrChrono into our supported EHR vendors. Compared to Allscripts and Athena Health, DrChrono was a breeze to use. The API was well documented and it only took a day's work to integrate.
Compared to other EHR vendors, DrChrono stores less information about patients, doctors, and facilities.

I trust the business savvy of the Chiropractor that I worked for while using this software. He did his research and chose this software despite that it is less catered to a Chiropractic office than a medical doctor's office. There are many good aspects to it. It is ultimately more than what I would need as a Massage Therapist and not enough of what I would need. It was ideal to have it for my notes while being an employee, however. I wish all software had such wonderfully customized SOAP notes!
The SOAP notes were amazing. Being able to customize how to use them in terms of using intensity number scales, images, drop menus for frequently address muscles and more. It would also flood notes from a previous session, since there are often a lot of similarities, while allowing for easy changes to everything that could have been different that session. Well through thew, easy to use. The best SOAP notes I have ever used from Millennium (2 versions), Clinic Sense, MassageBook, Vagaro & Mind Body. Dr. Chrono is a land slide winner.
1) The system does not allow for varying appointment times for different types of practitioners. For instance, clients trying to schedule a 10min chiropractic adjustment & 60min massage ONLINE, would have their massage session only block off 10mins of the MT's schedule. (When the MT only had 15mins between clients, the client was led to believe they scheduled their 60min!)This created a lot of confusion...

I like the simplicity of the EHR and the ability to access it from a tablet or phone. It was easy getting everyone in the office caught on the the EHR which I thought would be quite a task.
I don't like that controlled substances cannot be prescribed, being told this from the beginning or seeing if there were alternatives would've been helpful. Also the difficulty of sending lab or imaging orders to any company not affiliated with Health Gorilla is inconvenient. The first person that helped me establish the EMR and that gave me my first training was extremely helpful. The next lady that was in charge of our training was pretty difficult to contact, it got to the point that her voicemail box was full.

I have been implementing drchrono EHR for approximately 1 year now. As a non-tech person I was overwhelmed and felt that I could not use the program to it's potential. My practice is very client oriented and I was struggling to use drchrono EHR. Approximately 6 months to 12 months ago, I was introduced to the representative who assessed my office needs and it continued to be a slow learning process....
-Easy to use -Clear -Good customer service -Always growing/improving -Able to mold to your needs
-If you needed to be operating right away, there is a 3-6 month learning curve

Once you learn the system it is easy to use. I have created a filing system that helps me ensure that I do not miss progress notes or re-evaluations.
Notes are easy to customize to the needs of the clinic. Billing is simple and straight forward. Notes are saved in real time so information is never lost. It is easy to access past notes and patient information.
This product is not best suited for for physical therapists. It fails to create a plan of care for patients (it does not carry forward goals, diagnosis, or the plan of care for each note under the current case). The system does not flag you for charges, re-evaluations or progress notes.

The software is fast, stable, extremely flexible - you can create any custom forms for any specialty. And this is the only EHR program I found which offers native iPad apps (and not a browser version) - the difference is huge! It is quite intuitive and easy to learn, it adapts itself to your workflow, not the other way around :) Drchrono support is amazing - we have our dedicated specialist who is always helpful and prompt answering questions.
Not completely adapted for use in Spain, many features untranslatable. Ideal for USA/English speaking countries.

This product is very user friendly and easy to learn. The information is easy to access and is kept under tabs that allow for quick search and find. There are plenty of fields for yo unto be able to use quick and easy yet informative and in depth details. The EMR allows for easy tracking of patient progress and interactions.
