Some tools seem geared toward bigger organizations, so we had to spend some time figuring out what actually fit our clinic’s day-to-day workflow.

Faxing coverpage that has signature already there and easier ability to see sent faxes; ability make personalized eval templates within the current membership & coding of non-timed codes, this really does not make sense for ST.

Sending out reminder texts for appointments based one 1 reminder per hour of appointments means that our adults that may be getting 3 therapies across 2.5 hours get 3 reminders and they only read the last one and get confused on times.

I don’t like that when i go into appointments i cant view the types of appointments (telehealth vs in clinic) and i have to know those details for writing reports, i dont like there is no calculation for hours on the calendar view page and i have to generate a report and count up my hours, I don't like that is no way to show total sessions when in appointment view

We have not been as happy with other aspects such as inability to share statements through the patient portal without signing up for billing through fusion, inability to pay PT for a PT therapist, inaccuracy of certain reports, inability to run certain reports, inaccuracy of letting us know when children are due for evaluations.

I like the ability to pull forward, the objective section with the drop down box for adding activities, the ability to set automatic goal tracking based on data, and the visual of graphs.

Some parts feel designed for much larger clinics, so we had to adjust things to make it work for us.

Invoicing - instead of creating 1 invoice per patient each month with the total balance due, it creates what was marked as due in the last 30 days so 1 patient may have 3 invoices and they get confused.

I have used Fusion since 2020 (our clinic let us start during the pandemic) and it made documentation SO much better, streamlined and being able to share info/ goals/ calendars from our prior system was a game-changer.

I wish there was an option on the schedule to move a whole day to a different therapist, and then also on the billing side if they covered for a therapist that we already pay for if there was a credit for them or discounts for employees working 4 days or less a month.

It has different experiences based on your role at the clinic and some features would be better shared between roles, such as ease of seeing future appointments from the calendar.

Editing the start time of a session after checking someone in or beginning a note was difficult as you had to delete everything and mark them as not checked in before changing times, so you have to be careful to do things in the correct order and not forget something otherwise the work gets much harder.

There are a couple things I would like to have: for instance I would like a place to keep track of yearly Plans of Care (POC) necessary for our government agency for disabled people and to be able to filter it out so we can know monthly who needs a new POC for the year.

The progress notes and re-assessments require that you transfer goal progress from daily notes onto those notes, instead of having a way to carry them forward the way you do no daily notes.

There’s definitely a bit of an adjustment period, especially for new team members who haven’t worked with an EHR before. When we first started, it felt a little overwhelming just because there are so many features.

I have such a love hate relationship with fusion because I like some features such as goal tracking but I also feel I spend so much tie backtracking, fillinf in information I already have (like why are progress notes, evals, and re-evals so separate from daily notes?

The confusion when it comes to moving clients to inactive. When I receive the referral, I automatically put it into the system to keep track of documentation, but when clients decide to not come for some reason or another, it makes it difficult to remove them from the referral or active list when they will not be coming.

The system does not allow customizations for certain things such as "type" of appointment and customer support is slower.

Appointment confirmations are difficult and require downloading the schedule in a .csv file and uploading to an appointment messaging and confirmation system.

The easy way to navigate to the areas that I need to work in; the format of the pages, and the immediate response from customer service when I am experiencing an issue with something.

Lack of ability to add "supervision" documentation, lack of noting if a session was cancelled but made up (preset could be "Cancel - re-scheduled) instead of making it completely cancelled.

Our goals often look disorganized because of the transition with POCs/Progress Notes. That you are unable to make any adjustments to an appointment after it is checked in without having to delete the document.

Because it is a headache for her without great answers for making it smoother when she has inquired, that would be what I'd say I like least.

When writing reports, I do not like that the text boxes don't expand (or that I cannot see the whole text at once) so that I can easily see and edit what I typed.

It’s nice to be able to pull forward the previous notes every week and adjust, it’s nice to have billing connected to the notes, it is fast to sign on and does not have times where the system was shut down like our previous EMR.

I don't want to write a daily note and an evaluation, the daily note could automatically populate, one process not two different documents.

It could use some work with allowing individual message alerts be sent to certain families vs having to chose 24 or 4 hour alerts to be sent to all.

There is one thing that would really improve my experience and save me a LOT of time and energy when writing reassessments. If there as a section in each Pt's note that was for the therapist's use ONLY -  not a part of the actual note submitted to insurance/MD, that would be a HUGE DEAL.

The lack of customizability, our practice has additional staff that work with families beyond therapists, and everyone is labeled "Therapist" in Fusion.  

To be able to insert a fraction into the data box on goals and have it generate a percentage (to save time having to calculate it yourself).

As a clinic director the things I have the biggest issue with are related to scheduling/rescheduling appointments and addition of information to accounts/charts.  

Additionally, the hover feature does not work great- when I try to hover over a client to click on say their profile, it takes me at least 3 tries each time to get the hover feature to stay up

I would love if the waitlist feature was numbered - we get families calling in all the time asking where they are at one the waitlist and having to count each time is time-consuming and not fun.

I wish that updating goals within a progress note or re-evaluation led to the goals automatically changing to the new goal, instead of having to manually go in and change the goals after submitting the report.

I find that some of the reports are not what I need such as figuring out my true accounts receivable.

The reports are very clunky and not very useful from the ownership side of the practice.
