My overall experience has been pretty positive with Blackboard Learn.  I will continue to evaluate it against the other options available as well.  

Blackboard Learn is Decent

It was fine. I enjoyed it but not as much as Moodle. 

My Review of Blackboard

Overall, Blackboard easily beats out other software like Moodle and Brightspace

Blackboard is the best learning management software I've used

Blackboard is a teacher's friend! It stores work securely and lets the user add grades to the gradebook when work sometimes finds it way through outside email systems. Blackboard also has tutorial videos for dealing with new issues.

I have used both Blackboard and Moodle in the past, and I found them very similar for what they offered. I would have been fine using Blackboard indefinitely had I not found out about Canvas, which is what we are using now and I am absolutely it's biggest fan!

A decent LMS, but there are better ones out there that have less workability issues

I've used Blackboard for many, many years in higher ed setting. Even before they acquired WebCT. Over the years there have been so many versions. Some I loved. Some I found inferior to others (like Moodle). Newer versions weren't always better. However higher ed has unique requirements for compliance, integration and accreditation which makes BlackBoard an ideal tool for that sector. It's fairly easy to use and it's very reliable. If you're in an industry like higher ed, I highly recommend it.

We ended up switching from Blackboard to Moodle and then back to Blackboard again.

Amazing software 

I was very glad my university used Moodle rather than Blackboard. Previous experience with blackboard was very sour and it was refreshing to have a smooth online platform.

I prefer Canvas or Blackboard over Moodle for a University course platform.

Overall I had an unsatisfacoty experience with uaing Moodle as compared to Blackboard.

Overall, I thought Moodle was going to be better than Blackboard as Blackboard has its glitches. However, I quickly found out that Moodle is confusing. Although better in one or two aspects, I believe the program has some sorting out to do but, it could definitely contend with Blackboard if it simply was more user-friendly for both students and teachers.

It Works for What it Is

It works good at our institution and most students have good things to say about Moodle in general.

An alternative to Blackboard or Canvas

It is a decent LMS for starting small-to-medium sized educational institutions

I have used other distance education software and Moodle is the most user friendly. I use it to complete online coursework.

Gradebook is one of the best features of blackboard, I have quizzes almost everyday for my students, posting these quizzes grades were very straightforward using blackboard.
