As I mentioned BETI has made my work life better because with the "Approve my Paycheck " feature, employees have been able to inform me of issues they see with their payroll before I start processing payroll rather than on Payday when reversing payments or additional physical checks would be needed to reconcile the situation.

We cannot process payroll as they told we would, we cannot get a functioning GL, their ATS cannot facilitate communication and cannot perform any scheduling functions, and Paycom seems to think employee onboarding begins at their start date, so we cannot facilitate any tasks or communication prior to that date.

The employee self-service features are especially helpful because employees can easily access their pay information, submit PTO requests, and update personal details on their own.

For mortgage companies specifically, Paycom’s automation and reporting tools can support compliance with industry regulations while giving employees easy access to self-service features for pay, PTO, and benefits.

Onboarding Manager

Even when using the Advanced Report Writers I have found multiple times that I can't get to the information needed in a report even though it can be found on a display (i.e. the docid assigned to uploaded onboarding documents for the selfie with I9 is only available in the Supervisor signature, and in most cases our Supervisor's do not acknowledge those until the first day of class and we need to review them earlier on the onboarding team, and I haven't been able to find one other place where this information can be seen even though by logic you would know one has been assigned.) While it appears that Paycom makes an attempt to keep things simple, there needs to be more of an Admin/ Developer access that can be granted that would essentially allow access to all data even backend such as the aforementioned IPs and docids if needed.

However, once implemented, the system provides strong organization, better visibility into workforce data, and helps support compliance in a fast-paced mortgage industry environment.

I like most everything about Paycom, including how it functions, the ESS, and all the government/compliance offerings, learning, background screenings, tax credits, the ease of payroll, benefits administration, expense management, E-Verify, COBRA, ACA, various reports, etc.

It does not recognize 2 different pay classes at the same time for an employee, If an employee works a 12 hour shift and 24 hour shift it does not calculate correctly.

The inability of Paycom to talk to itself in a way that will carry an application (or multiple applications) into the offer and then the employee file, or to access the data that you know is housed in the system.

This centralized approach improves workflow efficiency, reduces the likelihood of errors, and allows for a more cohesive and productive work environment.

Paycom has been a valuable all‑in‑one system for managing payroll, employee data, time and attendance, and overall HR processes.

Paycom is great if you have the time, skillset, and manpower to customize and change things as they go. If you are in a situation where you don't have someone who can manage the set up, adjustments, and data auditing, it may not be the best system for you.

The ease of processing payroll sometimes feels almost too simple and having a one stop shop for everything from payroll to recruiting to onboarding, provides a more seamless process in HR.

It works especially well in mid‑ to large‑sized organizations where employee self‑service and centralized data management can significantly reduce HR workload.

This lack of synchronization hinders the overall effectiveness of goal management, reducing the ability to evaluate progress consistently and ensure goals are being met.
