Managers can map progression pathways and build targeted Talent Pools around specific roles at risk of being vacated, or existing vacancies, using Gap Analysis to determine where skill, experience or qualification shortfalls exist. Employees are similarly encouraged to register their interest in career progression and succession, helping talented people often hidden to be earmarked.

Talent Successor's features include tools for formulating skill, capability, and qualification frameworks while plotting organizational charts for team structure and the vulnerability status attached to each personnel. Employees can access "AboutMe" skill profiles and edit details subject to management approval, along with specifying future roles of interest and the timescales for achievement.
