The limitations with the Performance module is one of our biggest challenges.   While there are a variety of options, one major issue for us is the inability to use to mobile app to interface with our employees for this process.

Initial transition from our previous payroll company to Paylocity was a disaster, causing incorrect W2s, amended W2s and company tax returns, IRS penalties, etc.

The inability to edit our own PTO accrual settings (or, at least, easily) was a pain point for us, and took quite a while to sort out through multiple attempts and form submissions.

The automated file feeds are also excellent — once configured, they eliminate the need to manually add information to carrier sites, which saves a significant amount of time.

Paylocity has more functionality with regard to employees who work in multiple departments and have a combination of salary and hourly designations.

They have great communication and articles that they post all of the time with all of the reminders you need and  any upcoming actions we need to be aware of.

One of the challenges we have experienced with Paylocity is occasional system limitations related to reporting structures and access configurations, which can require additional follow-up with support.

There are some limitations in what I can write as a report and I am not able to update a code for how I want it to post to the ledger from payroll, but I'm not sure if that is a pro or a con.

Integrating isn't too smooth It seems like I have to schedule a call with the sales team every few months to go over new features and additions and if you don't activate or utilize one of the selected features during a certain period there's a ridiculous reinstallation fee.
