Built on a flexible framework, the software can be customized to fit each institution's unique requirements. Evolve Library makes use of the Microsoft .Net platform and can be integrated with all Microsoft Office products. Users can access the software through all web-enabled devices including laptops and mobile phones.
Evolve Library can be deployed as a cloud computing solution and also as an in-house application. Evolve has an Authority Control module for compliance with Library of Congress MARC 21 and allows the user to create and delete authorities for titles, classifications, authors, and other information. The platform's acquisitions module offers a comprehensive set of tools to monitor expenditures and manage the sale of items. Evolve also offers a range of other modules including catalog, circulation, Web OPAC (online public access catalog), periodicals, reporting, and more.
