What is Farm Matters?
Farmers based in the UK can use Farm Matters to enter and centralize data pertaining to crops, cattle, sheep, medicine, and nitrate vulnerable zones (NVZ) from a single dashboard. This web-based tool is available for use on a PC that runs on Windows, as well as mobile devices like iPhones and Android tablets. It works with many types of EID Readers and weight indicators to import and digitize vast amounts of data.
Farm Matters communicates with the British Cattle Movement Service (BCMS), reporting cattle movement in English and Welsh, and with ScotMoves+ in Scotland and the Livestock Information Service (LIS) for sheep movements. It also cooperates with ScotEID as part of the Beef Efficiency and Beef Suckler Calf schemes and with a range of cattle breed societies across the UK.
