Forms On Fire

Mobile form builder and dispatch workflow solution

4.91/5 (23 reviews)
29     78

Forms On Fire is a cloud-based solution for creating and dispatching custom mobile forms, designed to serve businesses needing to capture information in the field, including those in the construction, agriculture, field service management, food safety, manufacturing, transportation, real estate and property management, utilities, and oil & gas industries. Forms On Fire can be accessed through a web browser, or its native apps for Android and iOS.

Forms On Fire allows users to select from a library of more than 140 pre-existing forms, or produce their own custom forms using the drag-and-drop form designer. Forms can be designed to align with existing forms created in Word or Excel, and include rich data capture, allowing for the use and capture of images, video, audio, image annotations, barcode scanning, near-field communication (NFC), signature capture, GPS locations, mapping, and more. Mobile forms can work both online and offline, with data cached locally on the mobile device until a network connection is found, at which point it is synchronized with cloud servers and user databases.

Forms On Fire can automatically dispatch forms to remote users and send notifications back to the office via email, with the ability to send emails instantly, after a delay, or according to user-specified conditions. Email layouts can be customized, and form fields can be used for email body, attachments, and file names. Multiple file types can be attached, including PDF, TXT, CSV, DOCX, and XLSX.

Sophisticated yet Simple

21/03/2017

I use Forms on Fire to make every day operations of my business more efficient and organized. Linking forms to connectors such as dropbox allowed us to quickly and easily access information in one space. Building forms is fairly simple, but I have gotten stuck a time or two. They have great customer service to help you through these kinks as well.

Pros

Very efficient and simple to learn and apply to operations.

Cons

The software does not really support repeating tables within repeating pages. Hopefully this can be corrected with time. I believe this would be a very strong feature.

Modern Forms Service Shines!

10/02/2017

We have been testing Forms on Fire for a week, with the intent to purchase for a large project. The product is incredible, compared to others that I have worked with. The Designer is very intuitive, yet has advanced features such as data sources, filtering, formulas, and dynamic answers. Essentially, this service can create almost any form imaginable. Finally, the support team has been amazing. I submitted some tickets and then numerous follow-up questions. The response time was not only fast, but the answers were helpful, and to date, any problem I found has been solved. Suggestion for improvement is updating the Windows app to match the newer beta features released in the iOS app, but I understand this may happen in the near future.

Pros

Intuitive design interface and ability to use data sources across multiple forms.

Cons

Tough question, but perhaps the lack of the ability to connect directly to an SQL database (without the API) or publish fields directly to SharePoint.

Great tool

17/01/2017

Forms on Fire gave us an excellent option for collecting and analyizing research data in a variety of settings. We can eliminate or greatly minimize the need for paper notes that have to be translated into a digital platform for analysis and get our results more quickly. Kendall, Megan and the FoF team are responsive, helpful and well-equipped. It was a great value and made a tremendous difference in our final product. Really great experience. This is a functional, flexible, user-friendly efficient tool.

Excellent Product!!

12/01/2017

I have been searching for a form building service for months. When I found Forms on Fire I thought it was a little complex and may be difficult to learn their system. While it is complex their customer service team has been amazing and very quick to help. I was able to quickly learn many key features and begin building my own form. One of the main features I found most useful is the ability to control the output forms. This is the main reason why most people use forms is to organize the necessary information in a presentable readable document. Other form building sites have variations of this, but no where near the sophistication. You're really able to target the information that is essential to you. I tried over 17 form building sites before working with Forms on Fire, hands down nothing compares! I strongly recommend this to anyone looking to simplify and organize the operations of their business.

Pros

I could think of a way I wanted the form to preform and it was actually possible. I haven't come across anything that couldn't be done.

Cons

none.

Excellent Platform. Amazing Support.

19/12/2016

I built a relatively complex form and workflow for field data gathering, submission, and approval within our company. Using this system, with help from the excellent support staff at FoF, I was able to have a functional app and process for demonstration and use in about 10% of the dedicated time it would have taken me to create a similar system from scratch. The only real problem I had with the system was a lack of documentation on particular function use, at the start of the project. Given the improvements I have seen in the knowledge base, I believe this is on the verge of being a non-issue. Also, in any case where documentation was missing, the staff gave solution suggestions and offered function use cases that might solve the problem I was working on.
