Our medical team is able to customize templates to their preferances and finds the integration with our medical services and referral partners seamless.  

The anesthesia charting for accurate monitoring, the whiteboard feature for inhospitality patient care, and the ability to put in orders and have them be math-checked to reduce potential incorrect dosing.

Sometimes we have multiple similarly named line items because we have different item names for the treatment sheet (e.g. ECG hourly) that we don't want to have charged to the invoice as 12 separate items each hour during the shift, so then we have an ECG hourly per 12 hour charge.

One significant frustration with Instinct Science lies in its lack of flexibility regarding document management, particularly the inability to edit document names once they're uploaded.

The rest of the PIMs is a little more clunky and the medical records sent to other hospitals are cluttered and a bit harder to interpret.

We are a 24 hr emergency hospital and having the knowledge that we have an actual human for support the entire 24 hours is invaluable to us (BeepBoop is helpful, too!)

This is a difficult questions because of Instinct Science's willingness to take feedback and act on feedback. When there is a place for improvement I submit the information and have seen action on many of the requests.

Still a few kinks to work out- transferring estimates to billing, ensuring certain charges are taken care of, etc

There have been small bugs here and there, such as every now and then there may be a delay in documents being generated, or the program suddenly runs slowly, etc.   But these instances are not common at all and when they occur, the Instinct team are quick and very communicative about the issues and get everything handled quickly while keeping us thoroughly updated.

There are a lot of options and set up takes some time to ensure things are working best for your hospitals needs.

difficult to use for monitoring things that are more frequent than hourly such as transfusion monitoring (q15 min), pressor titration (q5-30min), etc.

The first weekend we were open, they were available the entire time we were open (10 hours a day) in case we needed any help.  

Instinct has several unique features that promote a positive working experience and takes the burden off of several aspects of ER.

This includes everything from medical histories and treatment plans to diagnostic results and billing information.

I have worked in the veterinary industry for 13 years and this program is by far, the easiest, most efficient and intuitive program to use for record keeping and hospitalized treatments.

Anesthesia sheet can be a bit difficult to insert CRI's and other changes that are coming.

Also, some new services are subscription based, but they're optional and unnecessary if you don't want them.

The EMR and charge capture integration with the terminals is great.

I'd love to use the electronic medical records aspect, but we have not yet implemented.
