Overall, PetDesk has become an essential tool that keeps our clinic organized, professional, and client-friendly every single day.

One thing negative I have to say is that if you have a patient where multiple people communicate with you under different numbers (such as a husband and wife) PetDesk will only recognize whichever number is keyed as the primary number for the client profile.

We could not use their online booking system Vetstoria with our current software EzyVet.

Two way texting is amazing, especially since it uses your clinic phone number; clients don't need to remember a second number!

PetDesk had many pros but the cons were the more important things we needed to work 100% all the time.

This is inconvenient when you need to change something on short notice and they are closed for a holiday.

However our corporate office does like the reporting available. If your PIMS does not integrate with PetDesk, expect them to have more work on their hands for a program that is supposed to handle that task.

Prescription requests needs little work. When a client requests a medication the only option is to alert them that it is ready.

There are no features or conns that I have came across as of yet.

I first used this software when it was implemented into my previous clinic, which was a 5 doctor practice with multiple phone lines, and was the busiest clinic in my town.

PetDesk has made a large impact on our daily functions with integration into Avimark, sending reminders and confirmation of appointments.

The ease of getting clients to use and teaching team members was very easy.

PetDesk was easy to implement and easy both for clients and team members.

It does give you reminder and shows all your pets information on it.

Texting to our clients is one of our favorite features.

We just ended up dropping them because our new PMS can do everything that PetDesk does natively.

We love how owners can upload photos of their pets, which we can then use in our internal medical software and records.  

This also helps to filter out the questions we can come back to instead of keeping someone on hold for a ridiculous amount of time, or multiple notes of people to call back.

Has bugs that occur more often than they should that prevents logging in and prescribing medication as well as writeback.

Also, the portal has to be refreshed often for changes to take effect. If I remove a renewal it will stay in there until I hit the refresh button. If I approve an order the numerical bubble on my home screen will still say I have the same number of requests as before until I press the refresh button.

When we edit a client's rx request, it sends them a notice saying it was declined and then an entirely new rx request is sent to the client.

Writes back to automatically to practice software which decreases workload from staff.

It allows us to help the client from our side instead of instructions via email or phone.  

You are able to help the client on our end with just about anything including shipping, orders, autoship etc

We also have to send reports monthly of our new clients to manually add in to our database.

We have lost a client over this, and when calling to ask if there was a way to know if it is auto-ship vs. request, I was told that I could look in their previous order to see if it was auto-ship.

Ease of use, able to modify quantities, the ability to write RX's directly from pulse.

It is also too difficult to figure out at a glance if an order is auto-ship generated or something the owner requested on their own.

Avimark integration works seamlessly to avoid having to note what was done at a third party pharmacy.

We , as vets didnt get any notification that our clients had ordered anything. When I went onto approve the script, I found 2 other requests that we didnt know about.

We have had so many clients complaining about it taking over a week just for their order to be shipped out, not even delivered.

Is getting better, can help clients check out and switch things now, still can't order for clinic like could on old platform. When I have had to call in all reps have been super helpful and friendly!!!

Wait times for customer support were sometimes over 30 minutes, and online chat was seldom available.at the end of 2023.

When RX is filled for whatever reason, we usually don't have a good way to follow up to make sure owner gets meds.
