There was a learning curve getting it tuned to our environment, but once configured, it's become a reliable part of our day to day AD security monitoring.

While ManageEngine ADAudit Plus is powerful, it does have some common drawbacks that users (especially engineers and admins) often point out:

The interface could be more modern, and some advanced reports take time to customize.

It also isn't very resource-heavy, so you can always find a server to install it on and not worry about having to take a performance hit.

It has so many features that can be used and the setup can be very complex if you really want to dive in, but the nice thing is that it can be done over time.  

I would say the only issue I have with any of the products is the amount of RAM that it takes to run the applications, but at least before, that was cheap.

It greatly simplified our ability to audit for compliance and risks.

It comes in handy during SOC 2 audits for log retention and availability.  

This reliable performance and the critical visibility it provides are the exact reasons we continue to renew our subscription with confidence.

Overall, it's been a solid addition to our security and compliance toolkit for monitoring AD changes.

I sized it right for the amount of DC's and file servers I had.   

The thing I liked least about ManageEngine ADAudit Plus is that the interface feels kind of old‑school and not super smooth to use.
