What is BatchPatch?
BatchPatch is a Windows update and WSUS patch management tool designed to help businesses execute software deployments, custom scripts, and processes on host systems and distribute or install updates remotely across the entire network. Features include process termination, reporting, wake on LAN, event log, activity tracking, and multi-host custom sequencing.
Network engineers can apply available updates or select specific ones by name or classification groups such as critical updates, service packs, feature packs, drivers, and more. Administrators can enable the cached mode to download and channelize all cached updates to target computers. BatchPatch lets IT administrators monitor work status in real-time via progress indicators and integrated pinging.
It allows managers to create job queues to be executed sequentially on remote systems, run scripts before or after reboot, and arrange multiple patches and reboot cycles. Employees can use the task scheduler to launch recurring tasks or job queues on a specific date and time. Administrators can push configuration changes, apply custom settings, and retrieve information from target computers such as last boot time, used or free disk space, bootup issues, and more.
