CenturyLink is a virtual server management solution designed to help businesses create, launch, and manage on-demand servers to support applications, assign IP addresses to systems, view activity history, and more. The platform includes task scheduling functionality, which enables administrators to automate various maintenance operations and deletion or archiving of servers at the end of projects.
Server orchestration and management capabilities in CenturyLink let enterprises create server groups to manage and configure multiple servers from a single dashboard, arrange them by projects, organizations or other custom criteria, schedule events, and implement an internal chargeback model to view monthly costs. Administrators can also define custom alerts and monitoring policies, to track utilization of resources such as CPU, memory or storage, and receive usage notifications via email, webhooks or visual indicators on the dashboard.
CenturyLink includes security and access management functionality, which facilitates secure access to servers via single sign-on (SSO), two-factor authentication, and role-based permissions and ensures compliance with HIPAA, ISO, PCI, FERPA, COPPA, and other regulatory standards.
