GitHub is the most important software tool for our company. It's an easy decision.
The most important feature is the friendly UI. GitHub's interface gives us everything we need when we need to dive into our commits to solve a bug. GitHub Actions for CI/CD workflows is excellent as well. GitHub Actions is easy to learn, and the workflows are very customizable.
GitHub does not have an adequate task-management system. It would be great if we didn't need to use separate task-management applications like Jira or ClickUp. I don't think the built-in task management system is customizable enough. I think GitHub should spin out the task management solution into a separate website or application, and allow for more customization.

great experience, the change was easy from other solutions since it works in a similar way
clickup is useful, because we can coordinate with the team better, instead of using github issues and people who dont know github can still contribuite to the issues
Ui is a bit too cluttered and might be a bit overwhelming for new users. also a full dark theme would be appreciated

Love it. We've been using github / zenhub for our task management. Github is not catered very well for marketing teams which is what we use clickup for. Making the transition was very simple because there is still a way to view tasks that is the same as our github setup.
It's impossible to pinpoint one specific thing that I liked the most about this software. What I liked most about it, was that it was the only one I could find (and I looked at a lot of them) that had the capabilities to do everything we wanted it to do.
Under the "Time" or "calendar view"... Some projects take a month to complete while others take a few hours. If you have multiple start and end dates under this view that take a month to complete, it clutters the calendar view.

I would like having import tool from Github projects and similar tools as Clickup.
Free plan has functionalities we need.
The UI feels hard to use, while having tons of necessary features, is hard to easily navigate to most important tools, easily by mistake can click/execute wrong action. The UI doesn't have native UX.

The sales, product management, and engineering teams now communicate clearly on a single platform to coordinate efforts. No more trello/JIRA/etc where teams are segmented.
It allows for easy customization to our work processes, ensuring everyone gets the right view of items/tasks at the right level. The spaces/folders allows us to manage development sprints easily and the dashboards are easily customizable. The team at Clickup releases new features every week, so even since we started with the software about 6 months ago it's significantly improved. Thank you!
The integration with Github could be improved (and it has been improved significantly). It's now just about being able to carry out automations with github actions. We've gotten around this with the API and an AWS Lambda function though.

Overall, ClickUp has helped our business become more organized.
Solid integration with GitHub and relatively inexpensive. It makes managing a lot of different projects simple.
There is definitely a learning curve with ClickUp because there are so many different ways to accomplish the same task. This makes it complicated and difficult to train other team members on how to use ClickUp.

Using tabs for my daily tasks and clearing these tabs/tickets as I complete my work.
The List Details pane for projects could work a little better. I'd prefer that this works more like the GITHub wiki than the way it does.

I'm the founder of a small tech startup. I'm bootstrapping the development of the build so the two big concerns I had when looking for a project management solution were 1) cost and 2) depth. I tried a ton of other PM solutions and none of them had all of the features I was looking for which I listed in the Pros section. I was incredibly frustrated because it was looking like I was going to have to shoe-horn a couple different solutions together which is far from ideal. Then I came across a review of ClickUp. For whatever reason, it had never appeared on any of my Google searches but after signing up I was instantly sold. It has everything I need from a project management perspective and more for a price that is, quite frankly, surprisingly affordable. If you haven't tried it yourself you should definitely give ClickUp a shot. I guarantee you won't find a more intuitive, in-depth solution.
-Cost / Value -Intuitive UI -Gantt charts -Native Github integration -Native Slack integration -Zapier integration -Time tracking -KanBan cards -Ability to temporarily invite a few collaborators without extra costs -
It's hard to say that this is a con, but ClickUp has a ton of depth. I've been so busy working that I haven't had enough time to learn all the ins/outs but I'm excited to see what else is under the hood

We really like clickup and the fact that it is very versatile, We use it extensively for our project management across teams like, development, sales and marketing, operations, HR. We also use it to run our development sprints
It is feature packed and does more than any of its other competitors. Features like granular access for your team, unlimited workspaces, github integration, viewing your tasks as a board or a list are really good
When I signed up for unlimited, it was the highest tier and the clickup team promised that I would get all the features that clickup ever builds. But now they have put a higher plan called business and they are not providing all features to unlimited. It was just not a good business practice. Also, their update clickup 2.0 has been taking forever to release.

My team moved from chaotic GitHub issues to a full-blown task management with time tracking clear breakdown of what to do and discussions around a topic gathered under relevant task rather than burried in a public chat.
- flexible and powerful splitting of work into lists, tasks, subtasks and to-do lists. - search and keyboard shortcuts, / autocomplete actions from keyboard - multiple extensions, especially built-in time tracking and estimates
The new logo :p Lack of Firefox browser extension and an Android Wear app to manage the timer Some sync issues between in-task timer and Chrome extension. Text input focus is sometimes non-intuitive

Before using ClickUp our company was not using any task management tool, so it wasn't easy to monitor employees' daily efforts and project management. ClickUp made it very simpler and our daily work starts with updating daily efforts in ClickUp.
1. Tracking employee daily effort and estimated duration for a task. 2. Plenty of filter options and features are available. 3. Integrating ClickUp with other tools like Github, Slack, etc makes life easier. 4. User Interface and User Experience are very nice.
Sometimes even after we enter the amount of time in time tracked and submit it does save it and have to add it again. This is the only issue I have faced since I started using ClickUp.

We as Software Engineers are using it daily for our task management and sprint management. It is well integrated with software tools like github and we can any time see the PR's status through the clickup task. Sprint points management and time tracking is top notch.
It has a lot of features, what I like the most is its integration with other apps.
Not much of a friendly tool for beginners but once you get grip on it, no one is stopping you to be more productive

It's a breeze to keep track of everything. All tasks may be monitored in a highly dynamic way. It is incredibly easy to distribute feature releases with non-technical employees in a highly effective manner. Many issues, such as tying PRs to tasks and monitoring their status, may be resolved by integrating GitHub with ClickUp.
I like how tasks are organized by status and how many columns are available for each work. Every day, I utilize ClickUp's time-tracking tool to estimate project completion dates, and I love how simple it is to organize tasks involving many different participants.
It took me a long time to figure out several problems with ClickUp. One improvement occurred to me after a few minutes of contemplation. A green dot appears on the profile of someone who isn't using ClickUp, making it appear as if they are online. Those who are utilizing may appear to be disconnected from the Internet at times.

ClickUp is the tool that runs our business.
It comes with a lot of features and is suitable for the whole company - from administration, marketing to development. We can now have everything on a single place and transparent for all employees. It streamlined the communication between all people. It's integrated with Gitlab and Github which was extremely important for us. It also has great API that allowed us to connect ClickUp with other system.
- The mobile app could be faster. - At the moment, API doesn't allow to create reminders.

Fan-Freaking-Tastic!!
The user experience is probably what I love most. The interface is so well designed that virtually everything is accessible within a few clicks. It is simple, yet beautifully elegant - not over-engineered. It works very smoothly. The ease of use is amazing. From the minute I signed up, I could basically start creating tasks, tags, views within seconds. You get into it very quickly and easily. You almost enjoy the process of setting up a project, which has been a major pain for me with other tools. It also integrates very nicely with other 3rd party tools. Within a few minutes, I'm able to connect Clickup to our Github/Gitlab repos - went smoothly without a glitch! And finally, you get dashboards which give you a really good overview of your project and your progress. I have one of the dashboards on display at the office, so everybody sees what we are working on. All in all, a fantastic tool for task and project management tool! The best I've used - ever! (And I've used a lot).
A few minor improvements I can think of (nice to have's): 1. Deeper integration with Gitlab/Github - ability to create branches directly from within Clickup would be nice. 2. Wiki Feature - perhaps a "Wiki/documentation" project type which exists purely for documentation would also be pretty nice. Then one could have the project management/source control and documentation all in one tool!

I am a student at OsloMet and have a startup that makes websites/software for non-profits and people with disabilities. Clickup works both for my master thesis work and for my startup work.
It's easy to add participants, it gives me much of what I missed from the dreaded jira software, but without being dreaded.
I find keyboard navigation to be hard, would also love an omnisearch/omnido like we have in VS Code . I can't find any easy way to see how much space I've used up and it would also be nice (for software devs at least) with integration with Git hosting services (github, gitlab, bitbucket etc) and some CI tools. Ability to sync with github issues would also be relatively sexy. Some times when I have forgotten to clear notifications and need to go inn to do something quickly the UI locks and forces me to go into notifications and clear some. I realize you want people to do this but I've found it annoying having to be forced like that, the windows update method is usually not the best method. "Conditional logic" for next task could also be nice. By this I mean "If task X is done, move task Y up in the que" and "Flag task X as important if deadline is less than Y days away"

I've tried all the tools out there...Emacs ORG mode, Trello, Basecamp, GitHub tasks, Notion, you name it. All of them felt like they were missing something. Some were too difficult to use and I spent more time fighting the software than I did performing real work. Some were extremely limited in terms of features, and others refused to let me think and plan the way I naturally do and insisted I adapt to their ideas. ClickUp lets me organize my life and my brain the way I want to without offering any resistance. I hope this innovation streak continues!
Innovative roadmap that keeps delivering useful features, solid documentation, plenty of integrations, public API, affordable pricing, recent growth into more of a knowledge management solution.
Up until the past few weeks I didn't feel like the product was polished enough that I would consider recommending it at work or using it professionally, but I now feel comfortable doing so!

I tried quite a few products for task management and have never been totally satisfied with them. Trello was great for public boards, but it was too simple for my business. Meistertask was ok, but not great. We even tried Notion, which is great for note-taking, but not so great for Task Management. I tried Clickup and I'm not going to try anything else. It's the best of all worlds, and they recently allowed for public task sharing, which was the only benefit Trello previously had over Clickup. Because I always have Clickup open for Task management, I find myself using some of its other features all of the time like screen recording and screenshots. Overall, it's made my workflow better and my employee agrees.
I love that a lot of software today integrates well with other software, but sometimes it's nice to have everything all in one tool. While Clickup does integrate with tools, the reason I like it is because it's convenient to have everything I really need at my fingertips, while at the same time being easy to use. Even though the tools they offer aren't "new", they just make existing tools more convenient. I never used to do screen recordings and take cropped screenshots of my screen often, but now I do it all the time. I feel like as a busy entrepreneur, Click just understands me and what I need to succeed. One other thing that I appreciate about Clickup is they are constantly updating. Every week it seems like they have something new. As a developer myself, I can appreciate how well organized and talented their development team must be.
With anything there is room for improvement. I think Clickup's time tracking could improve. It works fine, but I personally like using Toggl for this. I can't really put my finger on why... it could be because I started with Toggl, but I think the reporting and ease-of-use of Toggl isn't quite there yet in Clickup. A couple other minor things: I wish that I could filter by task # when doing task management. It's possible I simply can't find this functionality, but for example when I integrate with Toggl or Github it would be nice to easily find that task in Clickup.

Huge amounts of time saved, and plenty of delight from the UI.
I love everything about ClickUp. I've used a large selection of alternative PM software (e.g., PivotalTracker, Jira, Target Process, Wrike, dozens of others) and ClickUp is my favorite of all of them. ClickUp has a robust feature set which matches all of my needs, including excellent hierarchical task management, time tracking, GitHub/Slack integration, configurable kanban/scrum workflows, etc. The team adds new features frequently, and which features get added are chosen as a direct result of community involvement via suggestion and voting. However, feature completeness isn't really a competing factor; there are so many alternatives on the market that you'll find this feature set elsewhere too. Where they excel is in their attention to user interface and user experience. ClickUp is a delight to use and looks beautiful. Finally, the customer service from ClickUp is fantastic. My first day using the project (at ClickUp's initial release to the public) I found a bug with time tracking that was a barrier to entry for me. I reported the issue, and they had it fixed by end-of-day. This service has proven to be a consistent fact.
Nothing. No, really, the software is really so good that I can't think of a single reasonable complaint about the product. If I really had to nitpick, my only unreasonable complaint is that they don't offer automatic migration from Assembla (yet), which has prevented me from transitioning over my final client who has hundreds of tickets they don't want to lose.

By allowing our whole team (from marketing and sales to design and development) to manage their projects from one place, ClickUp makes it easy to collaborate across teams and gives everyone visibility on what's going on across the whole company. It has become the "single source of truth" for the team and effectively eliminated the need for using various redundant product management tools.
I love that it has pretty much all the features that any kind of a team might need, and as such, it can be the one product that the whole team can agree on using. Prior to using ClickUp, our team used Jira, Trello, and a number of other tools for managing products/projects within different areas, which created siloes of information that prevented the team from collaborating efficiently and effectively. Other project management tools that we explored (Asana, Monday.com, Basecamp, and Airtable being some of them) generally faced opposition from our development team because they didn't seamlessly integrate with Bitbucket/Github and lacked detailed features that'd allow them to accommodate it to agile/scrum flows. While these other tools may have offered a simpler, more streamlined experience, what our team was looking for was customizability (without sacrificing on usability) and ClickUp was the perfect balance between the two. We also love how customer-centric ClickUp is (as you can see from their awesome feature requests page (https://feedback.clickup.com/feature-requests) and how they're so focused on continuously launching new value-add products that their customers really want and need. I'd definitely recommend the tool for startups that are trying to reduce information silos and promote collaboration between teams.
The complexity of navigating through all its features, which inevitably comes as a byproduct of the breadth of the product's features (which I actually consider to be one of its biggest advantages). Although I personally find the product quite easy to use, I've heard the feedback from various team members that they find it difficult to understand how to use all the features and that they find it a bit overwhelming at times. There will definitely be a learning curve for some, but it helps for the leadership team (or the team that is implementing it) to first define how the tool should be used and help the rest of the team get onboarded on this recommended way of using it.

Coming from the Atlassian space, I had my doubts initially if ClickUp would support the features and integrations that Atlassian products are famously known for. What I found is that it does and has more in fact. Yes, you'll need to slightly modify your approach of looking at the agile methodology and how you run Sprints in a typical Software Development process. But, ClickUp is so flexible that you can fit anything into it. The concept of Spaces -> Projects -> Lists is simple, intuitive, flexible and adaptable. You can customise the way you want with the process you have. On top of that, you have a ton of useful integrations with Slack, GitHub and other platforms. Loved the Slack integration which is super useful to create tickets from inside Slack. Best of all, you've got a Desktop app which is a wrapper of the web platform which gives you so much simplicity without having to haggle with tabs in your browser. Only drawback is that you don't have the "Google SSO" feature in the "Unlimited Tier" plan as you only have it in the "Business Tier" plan. This is a basic requirement these days and ClickUp's business team will need to look at adding other features under their "Business Tier" to attract customers rather than just having the "Google SSO" feature as the sale pitch there. Definitely a good start overall and looking forward to exploring the platform more.
- Number of features - User Experience - Integrations - Desktop App - Ease of Use - The list approach - Granular Permissions - It's intuitive
- Google Sign in not available for the "Unlimited Plan". We are already paying, this should be available for paid users not just business users
