The management console has what seems to be an extremely deep learning curve, but if you are somewhat familiar with the way the services are delivered (i.e interactions and distinctions between IAM users; roles; groups; manager vs in-line policies etc) then it can begin to grow into a powerful tool.

I like that I can quickly jump into CloudWatch to investigate an issue, check the status of an EC2 instance, or verify a config change without having to switch between a bunch of different tools.

For example, if you set up an AWS EC2 instance on the console, it will name the VPC using weird names which aren't bad but it can be confusing because the VPC then has an internal name and a display name.

It’s a powerful and reliable platform that gives me complete control over my cloud environment, whether I’m launching EC2 instances, managing S3 storage, or configuring IAM roles. Once you get familiar with it, the workflow feels efficient and the integration between services is seamless.

I spend most of my time in AWS because once everything is running there, it becomes the central place for checking on systems, logs, deployments, and infrastructure.

Coming from a Windows On-prem background the security management is not intuitive initially, but the interfaces are clean and easy to look at, meaning that the inevtiable hours you'll spend staring at the console troubleshooting permissions or errors feels that little bit less tedious.
