NinjaMock overview

What is NinjaMock?

NinjaMock is a cloud-based wireframing and mockup tool which enables users to create and share designs for website and iOS, Android, and Windows Phone apps. The software allows users to manage projects, export mockups as PDFs, share wireframes across any device, collect feedback from customers or colleagues, and more.

NinjaMock includes a vector-based HTML5 design surface with no size restriction, and a range of controls, stencils, and vector icons. Stencils are presented in a toolbox next to the design surface, organized by type and usage, and are designed to look as if they were sketched by hand. A selection of embedded icons are provided, and users can also upload their own icon files, import icons from the web, or search for icons through a direct integration with IconFinder. Icons can also be drawn manually using NinjaMock’s vector editing tools, which include simple elements like circles, lines, and rectangles, as well as a pen tool with Bezier curve support, and a freehand pencil.

NinjaMock allows users to share projects with their customers or colleagues through secret URLs and QR codes for viewing projects on mobile devices. Users can select which parts of their project they wish to share based on the status of pages, and the startup page can also be defined before the project is shared. Everyone viewing the project can add comments, without requiring a NinjaMock account, allowing users to receive feedback from anyone. Wireframes can also be exported in PDF and PNG formats to be shared or printed out, and web projects in HTML format to share with clients or store on users’ own web servers.

Key benefits of using NinjaMock

  • NinjaMock includes a range of stencils, and users can also create their own stencils and reusable objects from objects created on the design surface.

  • Built-in vector editing tools include freehand pen and pencil tools, as well as simple elements such as lines, rectangles, and circles.

  • Elements can be copied and pasted between pages and projects, and polished designs created in other applications such as Photoshop can be pasted into projects in NinjaMock to continue design workflows.

  • Visual assets can be uploaded for use in projects by dragging-and-dropping the files directly into NinjaMock, or imported from the web by copying and pasting the image URL.

  • NinjaMock integrates with IconFinder to allow users to search for additional icons without leaving their project.
