Reflow overview
What is Reflow?
Highly configurable test automation tool that enables the rapid creation and maintenance of UI-based end-to-end tests.
Tests are recorded through an interactable video stream with an instrumented browser in the cloud. Optionally, when you want to test locally running software, a CLI is provided via npm that will run the record/replay server locally.
Reflow is a low-code tool, you don't need to write a line of code to build E2E tests. It can optionally be configured with TypeScript/Playwright to encode common application-specific interactions. Each test can be exported as typescript code into your codebase, so there's minimal lock-in.
Reflow automatically maintains element selectors via recording massive amounts of element metadata, weighing them for reliability, and comparing them on each test run. This includes element screenshots, attributes, hierarchy, DOM snapshots, and interaction handlers.
When tests fail, troubleshooting is simple through before/after screenshots for all interactions, automatically compared against previous runs via Visual Diffs. For advanced users, the chrome developer tools are available mounted to the cloud browser, so you can check logs, network calls, set breakpoints, and more.
