Our commitment
Independent research methodology
Our researchers use a mix of verified reviews, independent research, and objective methodologies to bring you selection and ranking information you can trust. While we may earn a referral fee when you visit a provider through our links or speak to an advisor, this has no influence on our research or methodology.
Verified user reviews
GetApp maintains a proprietary database of millions of in-depth, verified user reviews across thousands of products in hundreds of software categories. Our data scientists apply advanced modeling techniques to identify key insights about products based on those reviews. We may also share aggregated ratings and select excerpts from those reviews throughout our site.
Our human moderators verify that reviewers are real people and that reviews are authentic. They use leading tech to analyze text quality and to detect plagiarism and generative AI.
How GetApp ensures transparency
GetApp lists all providers across its website—not just those that pay us—so that users can make informed purchase decisions. GetApp is free for users. Software providers pay us for sponsored profiles to receive web traffic and sales opportunities. Sponsored profiles include a link-out icon that takes users to the provider’s website.

Vexlio overview
What is Vexlio?
Vexlio is a web-based diagramming application for creating precise technical diagrams and flowcharts with built-in interactivity. It runs in the browser with no installation required, and users can start creating diagrams immediately without signing up or providing an email address.
What distinguishes Vexlio from general-purpose diagramming tools is its interactive popup system. Any shape or element can be turned into a clickable trigger that reveals additional content on demand. When a viewer clicks or hovers on an element, a popup appears containing specifications, annotations, code snippets, images, nested diagrams, or other content. This allows a single diagram to function as both a clean high-level overview and a detailed reference. Viewers explore at their own pace, drilling into only the details they need without the main diagram becoming cluttered.
This interactive capability makes Vexlio well-suited for process documentation, system architecture diagrams, training materials, regulatory workflows, onboarding guides, and technical presentations where audiences have varying familiarity with the subject matter.
Diagrams can be shared via a simple viewer link. Recipients do not need to create an account, install software, or sign in to view and interact with a shared diagram. Shared diagrams are fully interactive, meaning viewers can click through popups and explore content just as the author intended. This makes distribution practical for clients, stakeholders, students, or cross-functional teams who need to reference documentation without friction.
The editing experience is built around a smart snapping and alignment system. As users position objects, automatic visual guides align edges, centers, and spacing. Multiple snapping strategies work together: point, alignment, gap, and grid snapping. Connectors automatically reposition when connected elements move, and labels reflow accordingly.
Drawing tools include rectangles with adjustable corner radii, ellipses, polylines, curly braces, and multiple connector types with configurable arrowheads. A grid duplication tool lets users quickly create arrays of repeated elements. All objects support numeric control over position, size, rotation, and styling.
Vexlio natively supports LaTeX equation rendering with live preview. Equations render as vector objects that stay crisp at any zoom level and export cleanly to PDF and SVG, making it useful for academic papers, scientific figures, and technical publications.
Code syntax highlighting supports over 50 programming languages. Users can place highlighted code blocks directly on the canvas for software architecture diagrams, API documentation, and developer-facing materials.
Export options include high-resolution PNG, PDF, and SVG. The export system automatically crops output to diagram dimensions, or users can export only selected objects. Vector exports stay sharp at any scale.
A free tier requires no account to get started. Paid plans unlock document saving, cloud storage, publishing with viewer links, and full export capabilities. Pricing includes both monthly subscription and one-time annual purchase options with no auto-renewal, giving users flexibility without lock-in. An on-premises deployment option via Docker is available for organizations with data residency or security requirements.
The application uses GPU-accelerated rendering and WebAssembly for responsive performance with complex diagrams. The interface stays minimal, with a contextual help panel showing relevant shortcuts for the active tool.
Vexlio is used by individual professionals, small teams, educators, and enterprises needing a focused diagramming tool with interactive presentation capabilities and frictionless sharing.
