Is Integromat 'the glue on the internet' as they claim to be?

Vasilis:                                               I am Vasilis. I'm a freelancer. I was switching from Zapier to Integromat. For more comments and reviews, you can check here.
                                                       Both application generally can arrive technically to do the same things, but of course, some customers are choosing Zapier, some others are choosing Integromat. I was choosing Integromat and my reasons are the following.
                                                       First of all, if you open both platforms... I have them right now open for this interview in front of me, both of them. And I also make an actualization for the Zapier, because I was looking today if I change something to have a fresh opinion about that. Integromat, I know it because I'm using it every day. They will tell you if you want to decide one of which application to use. Technically, they can do both, they can do almost same things. Maybe, should be probably some difference that I do not know because there are many programs.
                                                       There are many applications they connect and somebody, of course, cannot go on over anyway. But, first thing that I notice here, is prices. And why I'm telling you this? Because if I compare, I make one account today, one in Zapier, and one account in Integromat. And I want to make my plan, my automation.
                                                       What is actually automation? It is if I receive one message in Telegram, then this message to write in Airtable. When I receive in just from one input, then to transfer this to Airtable, or to send it to my Gmail. So, this simple example, both applications are doing, but the Zapier, is giving you two weeks to try it. Then it is cutting, and it is giving you a very, very small plan, only 100 tasks per month, and only one step.
                                                       The edge of Integromat above the Zapier is to create new projects. But again, this is in my experience. For example, just because Zapier is a linear development application, it is best if you say that, if you think that I want, when I'm receiving a message to Telegram, to send this to Slack, and then to write it to Airtable table, and send to Google to see, and then to send an email, for example, that's all good.
                                                       But, because the interface of Integromat is this visual, and this visual is because you are taking this cycle there, you're moving here, you're moving there. And then you have to play... I may visually create ideas and generate new ideas how to do your application better during the process that you started writing.
                                                       What I found myself is, in this case, comparing the development two applications could be that, while in Zapier, I should first write and have a very clear idea what I want to achieve in my mind before starting to write it, to use it.
                                                       If you are searching for... Zapier, first of all, is not a bad application. I'm just using Integromat because it is my preference. But if you want to start with automations, and you want, step by step, to see how this works and what this is doing, and to write exams, I think Zapier has many examples there. At least this is, again my opinion. I don't know if Integromat also they're having some templates, but these templates that Integromat are having, most of them, you can maybe use it. Maybe also not. I never use the template, never, even if... I don't know. Well, what to do?
                                                       That's why this is more for educational purpose, and to see what somebody can achieve, and to see what you can do, and how, of course. But maybe for starting, starting with Zapier, just for one only reason. Zapier was at that time, very much known. And I was using Chatbot, which is a very nice company, Italian.
                                                       And they was integrating with Zapier because they are very flexible, but they're also giving you the possibility to [rav 00:05:59] in JavaScript. I don't know JavaScript. I mean, I know, but not exactly what I need to do, but they're giving the easier solution which is Zapier integrated there and that is looking every time to solve the problems for what I do at that time.
                                                       So, I already have the experience to decide it fast. There is not wrong, right decision because anyway to check something, you're trying. You are trying a lot, but first is to have the possibility to fix my problem.
