Great case management system. If there have been any issues Leap Support is always on hand to quickly resolve the issue.I use Xero Accounting System alongside Leap which is a great feature.

I have lost a lot of money and clients due to using Leap.

Some of its  funcitons do not work on some computers. I have 2 up to date high spec Laptops that Leap have tried  (but failed) get it to work properly on.

The software is limited to only exporting 100 files at a time so if you have a decent client file then you need to ring and ask Leap if they can export. The answer is that they can but for $4,000.

Oh, their help desk people are completely incompetent. When I asked to be forwarded to someone to cancel, he hung up on me.

It did not integrate well with MS Outlook, MS Word, and Adobe Acrobat. It had multiple glitches, and the LEAP software deactivated features I used in MS Office and Adobe.

Lack of definitional explanations. Since they began to offer Clio, they pay no attention to PC Law issues and problems (and there are plenty) and offer no support.

It is horrible to use, horrible to deal with PC Law, tech support often has 50+ people in the cue trying to get support. Tech support took 2+ weeks to respond to a problem with the activation code.

IT Support

It takes the engineer an hour to fix error, so thats another hour lost and wasted. Converting CTREE to SQL is an absolute nightmare.

Admin Assistant

The software does offer the ability to do many things that are customary and specific to your firm. The ease of use is appealing, as you can manipulate the system to work as you intend it to work.

The best part of the software was the customizability  of almost everything. Any time something was not a way we liked it, we could just change it.

PCLAW has the best interface, once you've learned how to use it it is very easy to use, with a lot of features. Very easy to integrate with various insurance carrier portals.

The solution was for me to add a new auto entry "py" that autocorrects to "pay" and from now on I have to enter "py" to get "pay" instead of fixing the autoentry. The frankenfix is annoying.

I have found PCLAW to be the best solution for smaller law firms, where numerous timekeepers may work on a particular matter.

We still use it because we made it stable without pclaw help. I have also found there are independent people who will provide pclaw support.

There are many, many other problems with the software.

PCLaw has a great spell checker and it will ensure your client gets accurate reports.

Easy to use software that is great value for money.

Timer is money and because my calendar went down I could not access a clients file for court appearances and missed court dates because of it.

The software has become unstable especially with updating version of Windows. The look and feel of the software is outdated and enhancements don't seem to be coming.

Customer service used to be the best in the software business.

Server based - makes it very difficult to set up  - my IT had to make several attempts and was frustrated with each new little issue that had to be resolved before moving forward.

Paralegal

It is easy to maneuver and access. I use it daily and the functionality is understandable.

Unfortunately, PC Law will not make their API available. After spending the time and money to upgrade, it appears it was all done in vain.
