Very positive; we originally moved to Elvanto from another church database management system because of cost and the excellent customer service Elvanto provided; this was in the early years of Elvanto starting up.

You have to get a third party messaging system in order to send text messages in Elvanto.

The giving integration with Tithe.ly that was only one-way was a source of irritation.

The messaging is not compatible with its partner software tithe.ly.

It's a massive suite that does a whole lot and it works for the most part, but it has some quirks.

It’s been fun to dig into the product and feel like we got a custom setup for our church.

This is not the product for you if you need a simple deployment or don’t like software.

I wish it had a more modern looking/feeling interface.

I like Elvanto and have become accustomed to it's size and quirks.

Fees. When giving to the church should be from the heart, yet planned out within your budget, it stinks that you pay 2.9% + $.30 per transaction?!

Members of our congregation have been given this option for their offerings for over a year.

So either the church gets duped or the giver.

I literally searched for six months trying to find a software program that was easy to use, would not cost a fortune, could be locally stored, and handle all of our needs. PLUS, I was able to download and use for 30 days to see if it fit my needs before buying.

There are no monthly fees which is why I chose this.

The software can be run from a file sharing platform (sync.com) and there are controls in place to ensure that only one user can be logged on to the database at one time.

The only problem I have is getting one report that need in an easier way.

I have used it primarily under Linux (usually a Ubuntu derivative) and I have to fight with Wine to get it loaded every time I upgrade my  wife's computer.

It was easy and the few problems that I had was answered in a timely manner.

There are a few quirks you have to get used to and it can be a bit tricky fixing input errors.

Also, generating year-end giving statements is as easy as the click of a button. If I need an interim report on an individual's giving or a summary of some kind, tech support is quickly available if I need help.

It is fairly intuitive to use and there is an extensive help facility for every aspect of the software.
