Having all sales information, product creation, Purchase Orders, process automation and a direct link with an HMRC integrated accounting system makes the running of a retail business seamless.

In addition, Brightpearl allows the user to modify its system to accommodate its own needs through automation and system configuration.  

Even though we handle both ready-made products and our own manufactured goods, Brightpearl has been flexible enough to support our processes with effective workarounds.

Ability to be able to filter reports more narrowly by custom fields and compare year by year.

Order and purchase order management is straight forward. If there's something you cannot figure out, they have a a wealth of resource documents and their customer support is always happy to help as well.

Brightpeal is a technical system and sometimes feels overly complicated but I think this is due to it being aimed at big warehouse type businesses where there would be multiple people working in different area's of the fulfilment processs - this makes the process very long winded when we are talking about a single person doing the picking packing and shipping.

Brightpearl’s biggest strength is how it brings inventory, orders, and accounting together in one system.

We have found that those capabilities are still very useful today and as we change and grow as a company, we find that Brightpearl is able to accommodate those changes fluidly.

The ease of use, it may have a lot of features but how everything works together to manage our orders provides a level of fine tuned control that is absolutely requited for the scale and complexity of our operations.

The interface is fairly modern and intuitive, and the idea of connecting Brightpearl with BigCommerce initially seemed like a good fit for our business.

Some workflows feel less flexible than expected, and making changes often requires support or workarounds rather than quick adjustments.

We were never given a trial or hands-on demo before paying in full, so we relied entirely on sales presentations that turned out to be inaccurate.

Overall experiance, sales and scoping team, training team calls migration go live team all brilliant, post go live support not so reactive and not easily able to just speak to someone.

Brightpearl is reliable and stable in day-to-day operations, especially for handling orders, inventory, and multichannel sales.

Given our renewal quote literally a couple of days before 30 day notice cut off to make any changes to our contract so no time to absorb this information and speak to account manager.

The main frustration has been the restrictions on product line quantities within individual orders.

The integrated accounting system is also a great plus, as it means we do not need a seperate system for this.

The formatting of hthe API outputs is also pretty rough and non-standard, though workable.

That HAS to be a possibility, especially with AI these days - should mimic the Shopify reporting tool at baseline.  

Support ticketing is not the greatest, I have raised a few issues and found myself having to continuely repeat what the problem is forwarding screen shots and clips of what I am talking about before anything is acknowleged as being a problem and addressed.

With the help of some third parties and our own custom integrations we make it work.

The system has helped me to access valuable data, this data has allowed the team to make strategic decisions on stock and stock planning

It makes VAT returns and bank reconciliations really straightforward.  

the many integrations between all the POS, Shipping platforms do require regular maintenance and this in itself become quite complicated.

We've been using it for 10+ years and it's helped our business reach grow beyond what we could have done without it.

Brighpearl is a very powerful all in one solution for the modern multi sales channel and location business.

Configurable and adaptable with essential features for business needs with a great suite of apps and integrations.

Our initial renewal conversation started with a senior manager who left on sabbatical mid renewal with no advance warning, other than an out of office reply.

Inability to go into a minus stock figure for OOS products - this increases the number of admin tasks our CS team has to carry out.

However, Brightpearl is less expensive than many other similar systems like NetSuite for instance.

Many of the core features we were sold on didn’t work as described.

A complete package that covers most of the business needs of a retailer or distributor.
