What is ProSeries Fixed Asset Manager?
ProSeries Fixed Asset Manager helps accountants track fixed assets and automatically calculate their depreciation using the MACRS method. The cloud-based platform enables businesses to import clients’ information from an integrated tax preparation application, ProSeries Tax and automatically create client profiles.
The application can evaluate the depreciation of assets based on various metrics including adjusted current earnings (ACE), alternative minimum tax (AMT), and federal or state regulations. Administrators can calculate tax preference items according to prior-year depreciation, gains and losses on asset sales. ProSeries Fixed Asset Manager offers an asset grouping capability, which allows organizations to split assets into multiple units and sort them into customizable categories.
It provides a reporting module, which enables accounting professionals to generate reports on general ledger (GL) reconciliation, personal property projection, and client property tax returns. ProSeries Fixed Asset Manager can either be used as an add-on to Intuit ProSeries Tax or run as a stand-alone software.
