If you have no issues because you are a simple business and have very simple accounting, you can get a decent experience and good value for what this software offers.   If you are more advanced and actually care about what your chart of accounts looks like and want to customize it with account numbers and change the default names, beware.   If you also want to have control over what get classed where and use accrual basis of accounting where you regularly enter journal entries - my experience is that you will be frustrated from time to time with the system creating new accounts, duplicating accounts and chainging the field mapping in a way where one day you wake up and realize that your Payroll Liabilities are a complete mess with duplicate accounts and inconsistent entries.

All of this means that every time they misunderstand or mishandle something, you as the customer bear the burden of calling in and they put you through a 1-4 hour ringer to be waiting on hold, periodically come back to tell you that they are working on the issue but so far out of 10 different major issues I experienced over 10 years, not a single one of them ever got resolved.

Unfortunately, key features like 'Memorized Transactions' are not ported over... and there's no easy way to move our hundreds of Memorized Transactions to repeatable processes on the QBO Platform.  

When I change charges/expenses to one it changes all of them even if I have set up rules. When doing payroll that is awful, I have to manually change them and pull a report to do so.

It would be better to edit Tags, Vendors, Categories but sometimes can be a struggle getting an expense correct the first time.

As far as processing transactions, they offer the best value per transaction.

Very few times I had issues with it syncing to our CRM program (Acculynx).

It can be difficult to onboard people into QuickBooks if they're unfamiliar with the platform, so training can be more difficult than expected.

The Customer Service (Technical Support) experience is horrendous, it is the most time-wasting and frustrating experience I have ever had with software - and I say this after 20+ years of using different versions of Quickbooks.  

The ability to add more categories and classes as well as the advanced customization of reports are very helpful.

Sometimes the connections to amazon won't happen and I'm not able to categorize those transactions.
