What is Vimcar Fleet?
Vimcar Fleet is a specialized software package designed for the management and real-time monitoring of small to large vehicle fleets. The system comprises a central software package, plus additional plugs and boxes that can be installed in each vehicle. Vimcar Fleet can sync and send positioning data for individual vehicles over a cellular network. With vehicle positioning data, Vimcar Fleet can create a live map and administrator control room to display current locations, planned routes, and other vehicle details.
Vimcar Fleet can create and update digital logbooks that can be submitted directly to tax offices. Logbooks are formatted to meet legal regulations and requirements. The system is also able to designate journeys as business or personal for accurate billing. The Vimcar Fleet package also allows logbook data to be exported. Exported files are BMF-compliant and compatible with DATEV, so they can be forwarded directly to tax offices or advisors.
As a complete package, Vimcar Fleet includes functions to manage costs and log fuel consumption. The software package includes an integrated feature that can verify driver's licenses. There's also a run-time calculator to help manage vehicle leases and prevent the over-run of leasing periods.
