Also, I've never understood how a Canadian company, bills in US dollars, AND charges GST on the invoice. But that is a billing issue, and has nothing to do with the software itself.

I love the ability to add or remove the images that are preloaded into Horizon.

I do 99% of the reports ont he desktop version and then go into the online version to finish up.

It will put one line at the very bottom of a page and then kick it to the next page.

There was a month or so when the desktop Offline version wasn't working and it took several calls to Support to get it going again.

Love the program, support system, clients find it easy to read, love the reference links even though I still purchase the Home Reference Book for clients.

The only criticism I have is that I would like to be able to duplicate pictures in the system.

Having access to the app while at the inspection allows me to enter some information and take photos that are automatically uploaded to the report.

Inability to introduce personal or external illustrations other than what is in horizon.

I've tried most of the inspection software out there and stay with horizon because of how great their people are if you have any questions or suggestions.

I also like the way I can work on it with my laptop when I dont have internet access.

There's no capability to upload videos to Horizon.

There have been recent issues with photo upload in the app.

Their app is incredibly user-friendly and helps me cover all the bases during inspections.

I finish up on the computer just because its easier to review everything and to see the actual finished report.

It leaves a big blank area and makes the report look longer.

The mobile capability of this software enables the tools to be used as a checklist  during the inspection.  

It wasn't that the reporting wasn't clear, it's just that by comparison, the Horizon reports are so easy to read and understand that our clients just don't have questions.

Reports look super professional and client's and realtors are always pleased with the ease of navigation and the overall appearance.  

Prior to using Horizon we would have phone calls every day with questions about our reports.

Anytime I send an email, they usually answer back within an hour.

It's taken some time but once you learn little tricks, it makes for a wonderful presentation.

The speed write section is awesome once you get it down.

Early on in its use you can become immersed in then tool and if you are not focused you can spend too much time in the software and loose sight of home performance details.   

To me, I don't care, but I get comments back from realtors about how long they are.

This software is very good for new inspectors just starting out, it's simple enough to get started without too much fuss and is relatively inexpensive, but eventually I learned it's limitations and decided to move on to something more advanced.

Customer support did manage to send me a refund for the duplicate charge (eventually).

I finally canceled that credit card just to prevent them from charging me again!

It was taking too long to complete reports.

I have sent numerous emails and have yet to get a response.

NO one answers the phone, emails or is willing to help.

I was double charged this month and my account says suspended.

Ease of use, and good for fast paced jobs.

The software makes it quick and easy to obtain inspection reports.

I don't like that you can't talk immediately to someone in support but they answers back very quickly.

Also,  i wish I could add the signature feature, used for four point and wind mitigation, and add it to a new template I created for roof inspections or any template I want to create.

Word and/or language AUTO correction features, Very less general Library in comment sections, Specially negative or something wrong kind comments, Choice of choosing default typing fonts, can not redo decoration on the pictures after saving and can not pull pictures out of software, that's fine. But please do not charge huge after making and improving software to previous and long time clients.

We are using EZ for scheduling housekeepers, submiting maintenance requests, and generating invoices to bill our clients.   

The software/app allows you to create your report in PDF once you are done. If you are using iPad/iPhone you have to download PDF app to read PDF files, I use PDF Expert app and I am very happy with it.

I have problems with the software when I don’t have a good data connection specifically when I’m taking pictures, it will freeze and then crash at the point when I’m at the “take picture” point.

I'm able to customize my reports and create templates for different types of inspections I regularly perform.

I use my phone and the app at the inspection to take pictures, make notes, and add pre-saved conditions.

The pictures take too long to download,  half of the report time is spent downloading pictures. When sending the report the repeat customers email addresses are not stored in memory.  

It does the job and Rusty does return phone calls and e-mails.

We always have comments from our customers regarding the ease of viewing the report, the professionalism, the depth we go into, and also the pictures.   When we started our business, we looked a long time for this software.  

You have to click on each photo, add your comment, click on "Save". When you have to do this for a hundred photos, this is a major time suck.

For example: I use this text very often: "IT IS A SAFETY ITEM", then, If I need it twice or more in the same item I have to write it each time or use copy/paste (it does not copy the formats).

This software allows me to quickly and easily write clear and concise inspection reports.

I really like the fact that I can use my cell phone or tables onsite and then upload to the cloud so I can work on a report later at home.  

My only complaint is that while taking pictures during an inspection the software inadvertently closes causing me to re-open the report.

It saved me a little time compared to the other softwares.   If I spent some time to customize my own pre populated drop down lists, I think it would save me even more time.

It lets you add photos as you see fit and edit or mark them as you need.

It is not a checklist style and I can add my own comments as needed or put in stored comments.

That it grows and allows you to comment as much as you need too. And insert lots of pictures.

For example, in order to satisfy the requirements for each subsection it requires going back and forth from one room to the next instead of just completing whichever room you may be in.

Overall This software serves for a very low priced option for reporting software in my industry (home inspections).  

One feature which they added helped by adding the new home button, but I still find that I am doing too much scrolling thru a section .

Uploading photos on the computer vs phone or tablet is a major hassle and takes a large chunk of time.

You can create master programs for commercial, industrial, restaurants, or any other type job.

I'm solving the complete capture of the information needed to provide a complete and accurate home inspection report.

The reports can be created in template form expediting the field use and process.  

Technical support is slim to none no return of your phone calls!! When you are relying on a web based product and your business depends on reports in a timely manner,  this company has let me down

It’s small but I have a report editor that looks through my report and I have to wait till the end of the day to run through it with her.
