Independent research methodology
Our researchers use a mix of verified reviews, independent research, and objective methodologies to bring you selection and ranking information you can trust. While we may earn a referral fee when you visit a provider through our links or speak to an advisor, this has no influence on our research or methodology.
Verified user reviews
GetApp maintains a proprietary database of millions of in-depth, verified user reviews across thousands of products in hundreds of software categories. Our data scientists apply advanced modeling techniques to identify key insights about products based on those reviews. We may also share aggregated ratings and select excerpts from those reviews throughout our site.
Our human moderators verify that reviewers are real people and that reviews are authentic. They use leading tech to analyze text quality and to detect plagiarism and generative AI.
How GetApp ensures transparency
GetApp lists all providers across its website—not just those that pay us—so that users can make informed purchase decisions. GetApp is free for users. Software providers pay us for sponsored profiles to receive web traffic and sales opportunities. Sponsored profiles include a link-out icon that takes users to the provider’s website.

FoodCore.io overview
What is FoodCore.io?
FoodCore is a kitchen management software platform designed for small food businesses in the United Kingdom. The system serves as a single solution for recipe management, labelling compliance, stock control and production planning. It uses a subscription model that grants access to all thirteen integrated modules without tiered pricing structures or per-user fees. Businesses can manage recipe costing, allergen compliance, inventory tracking, production scheduling, meal planning and analytics through a private instance and custom subdomain.
The core functionality centres on recipe costing and nutrition calculation. The system automatically computes batch cost, cost per serving, gross margin and a complete nutritional breakdown of calories, macronutrients and micronutrients as recipes are constructed. The allergen labelling module provides a drag-and-drop editor that automatically bolds allergens within ingredient lists to ensure compliance with UK PPDS regulations and Natasha’s Law requirements. Labels remain synchronised with recipe data and can be exported to PDF in formats suitable for various label stocks. Business details are auto-populated on labels to comply with UK Food Information Regulations.
Stock management offers real-time ingredient inventory tracking with configurable low-stock alerts and reorder thresholds and automatic stock deductions upon production run completion to minimise manual stock takes. Production scheduling enables the creation of scheduled runs linked to specific recipes and customer orders with batch cost visibility before production commencement and automatic stock updates upon completion. Meal planning delivers calendar-based plans with daily and weekly nutritional totals, cost per meal calculations and reusable rotating plan templates designed for care home, school and catering use cases. Analytics includes cost trend reports, waste monitoring, carbon footprint assessments per recipe, nutrition reporting, allergen exposure tracking and a detailed audit log for food safety compliance.
Additional modules encompass supplier-sorted shopping list generation, menu construction with automatic allergen matrix creation, customer order logging with status tracking and production linkage, and barcode scanning for rapid import of nutrition and allergen information from product codes. Role-based user management defines access levels for admin, chef, manager and dietitian roles across unlimited accounts. Configuration settings allow brand colours, business details and label footers to apply automatically across all outputs. Each subscriber operates within a private instance accessed via a personalised subdomain to ensure data isolation and interface customisation. The platform functions as a standalone solution while preserving API options for potential external system interactions.
