Pros

The software makes it very easy to copy and paste information as well as edit where appropriate. An easy to understand gauge of cost/sales price and profit% allows for simple cost and profit tracking.
A great tool for up selling and cross selling to clients. This is a very robust and reliable Quoting package and sits perfectly between Autotask (our CRM package) and Sage (our accounting package).
While QuoteValet (web-based) appears more modern, the desktop app feels a bit "Windows XP. Overall, fantastic software, extremely affordable, and highly recommended to anyone in the IT industry.

Pros

Support is generally helpful and effective in solving issues. The biggest return on the investment has been in improving consistency and efficiency in quoting.
Sell is a wonderful addition to our quoting process. Our customers love it too.
The fact that we can pull from our product catalog, feed opportunities etc and give the clients ability to do completely paperless approvals has improved our efficiency.

Cons

I tried to contact several times but each time I am having problem connecting. It may be my machine problem but I am a little disappointed.
Knowledge base sometimes can be though to find information and they send out several updates through out the year, this can be a bit of a problem when trying to stay current.
The item numbers are limited to a certain number of characters which causes the sync to QuickBooks to fail if your part is too long.

Cons

The product screens are vague they do not mirror the connectwise product screens. Which can make it difficult to work with.
Worst of all that we tested; expensive and incompetent.
The QUOTE button on the Opp page still does not work, FYI.

It has improved the entire process of sales pipeline by making it easy and rapid to create and track customer interactions.

Pros

I give double thumbs up to the fact that QuoteWerks automates the entire process of Quote-to-Cash and sales CPQ.

Cons

It demands a lot of integration mainly with accounting and CRM programs, which is a bit time consuming and tedious.

I like the integration with Autotask as well as Connectwise and its ability to push data to Quickbooks.

Cons

The only con I have so far has been related to getting the vendor integration working but it was no fault of Quotewerks, it is just due to the nature of using the API

Good Software, a little clunky

We use it because all quotes flow into ConnectWise, including products and services. This means we don't have to type things over and can greatly reduce the number of transposition errors. It's also nice to have one spot for a common product database. We use it in a terminal server environment and it works well.

Pros

It's really a great quoting tool. It works well with ConnectWise, and its ability to export to Excel is great.

Cons

The ad-ons, such as Etilize, are OK, but not great. It can be a bit buggy and. The Quote Valet fearute seems nice, but I think it's too expensive.

Pros

We love the software, overall managing the quoting process, and integration into Connectwise. Getting electronic signatures from clients was exceptional.

Cons

It takes a while to set it up, creating documents, connecting with vendors.

Pros

Really a great tool for Quoting. We can quote very easily using the customisable templates according to the requirement. We can easily integrate with third party software like ConnectWise that saves our time and money. QuoteWorks works well to make our documents look great and clear.

Cons

Actually it is paid tool. Customer support is not good. Except this really a great tool for quoting.

Integration with salesforce.com, a basic configurator and a low price point.

Pros

Quotewerks has a huge number of features. We extensive use the configurator and bundles that help our staff reduce mistakes. We have Quotewerks linked to salesforce.com and that reduces the amount of double keying and provides a audit trail between the two systems. Quotewerks has a low price point making it ideal for companies to start using a CPQ tool. Quotewerks support is very good because you get to talk to a person about your issues with the software. One service we used that was very helpful was a 1 hour review of how we have our software setup and recommendations for best practices.

Cons

Quotewerks provides so many different features it's hard to determine which way is the best way to configure the software without assistant from support.

Connectwise Sell allows us to build and manage quotes online without having to be in the office. It has all the same realtime features as the other major player in the market (Quotewerks) and with tight integration into the Connectwise ecosystem it's a no-brainer for existing Connectwise customers.

Pros

Tight integration with Connectwise and Real-time lookups for pricing and product availability make Connectwise Sell very powerful. The entire platform is web-based so you can access it from anywhere making the quoting process seamless and easy no matter where you're working from. It's just as effective from Starbucks as it is from your office.

Cons

The UI is a bit outdated. Some of the features are a little hidden in the UI and unless you know where they are at it can take some getting used to. Currently there is a problem with back-end connectivity resetting causing you to lose your work. Be sure to save often because it happens several times throughout the day and can get very frustrating.
