What is Ardour?
Ardour is an on-premise software that provides businesses with tools to upload and edit audio clips on a centralized platform. Supervisors can utilize various input monitoring options and layered or non-layered recording modes to combine master records and individual tracks.
Ardour allows organizations to undo/redo edits and identify overlapping regions across tracks using the vertical stacking mode. Editors can extract soundtracks from imported videos, route multichannel tracks to separate mixer strips, and view the frame-to-frame timeline of the video. It also offers a stop and forget feature, which lets users cancel a recording pass and quickly recover disk space according to requirements.
Businesses can add blank frames in videos and lock audio and MIDI regions to the video for maintaining video-frame granularity. The software also helps users record automation data and utilize the mix groups functionality to control the basic properties of soundtracks, such as record enable, solo, or mute.
