Pros

I like how easy it is to use and how my pictures come out. I tend to draw for my stories so it helps that I can visualize it in such a clean and colorful format.
But the more you use it, the more you’ll realize how user friendly it is. I was so fascinated with Corel draw I even enrolled for a comprehensive tutorial.
Great software, I have used this for over 10 years, great with a tablet, great features and easy to learn.

Pros

In the past, it was often cost-prohibitive to have the latest and greatest versions and the various software I needed. Now, for a very decent price, I can have the best of the best for all my needs.
Its really helpful to create different types of content, really useful and easy to manage, the difference between this platform and others its really helpful and easy to use.
Love love love the product and it has come a LONG ways from the old days. I have the whole package and couldn't imagine not having it.

Cons

The Trouble Shooting criteria is worst in CorelDraw, and that is after few hours or some uneven period getting known to the problem nothing going to be fix this issue.
After 4 hours and 5 days with customer service, they tell us that it's a known problem and nothing is being done to fix it. This is by far the worst experience you will have with any software company.
The worst part about CorelDRAW is that you have to do a complete research to start understanding the features and how to use it.

Cons

Bad, i still to this day dont know how it works so i save everyting to my computer and ive been using adobe for years now. I have a fear that things will go missing so i dont bother with it.
The only thing that has frustrated me is the times that the program won't open a file and states that it has been damaged or moved.
Their enterprise licensing, deployment, and customer service is terrible. The process to get device licensing and user provisioning working is time consuming, and the Adobe support staff are clueless.

Making Improvements but Adobe is still King

Reviewed 6 years ago

LiveSketch is the best tool you can get from CorelDraw, its really impressive how easy is to draw with it combined with Tablet Mode. But it's hard to recommend it for anything else when compared to Adobe.

Pros

LiveSketch is a great feature, you can get a smooth line, no matter your drawing style. All you have to do is set a timer in the Properties bar (with the LiveSketch tool selected) to determine how long you have to adjust your strokes before that sketched line is converted to vector points, sounds complicated but it's really intuitive. Tablet mode is also incredible and PHOTO-PAINT is a very good alternative to photoshop.

Cons

You can get most of the other features CorelDRAW has to offer for a better price if you buy Adobe Creative Cloud so it's hard to recommend it over Adobe.

Great Program, But not as Robust as Adobe

Reviewed 5 years ago
Pros

I liked the ease of use and ability to learn the program fast. The functionality is very similar to AI, and allows you to create professional designs, illustrations, and documents.

Cons

The program is not as robust compared to comparable programs such as Adobe. Photo feature are not as robust and require Corel Paint Shop. They do have a graphics suite, but not as functional as Adobe Creative Cloud.

Gave it a try, won't make the switch

Reviewed 4 years ago

I thought I'd give it a shot as a lifelong adobe guy. It was decent, but not enough for me to make the switch, especially with Creative cloud pricing.

Pros

It is very easy to create vectors, which is something I get requests for often. The interface is not overwhelming.

Cons

It takes way too long to open. I have a great laptop and computer and the program still takes quite a bit of time to open.

Overall I like CorelDRAW based on the value of the product in someone ease of use.

Pros

Very users friendly and there are a bunch of tutorials that you can watch to figure things out. Less expensive than adobe creative cloud. You can either buy program or purchase a subscription.

Cons

It takes a bit of getting used to and trying to figure the different options within Corel draw. It doesn’t have a whole bunch of extra add-ons. You need various products to work in conjunction with it.

A good software for Designing

Reviewed 5 years ago

Nice experience but Illustrator is better.

Pros

This has a very good set of tools that can be used to create very high class graphics for web as well as printing. I have used this very less. I have switched to Adobe Illustrator. I found better options over there.

Cons

Selection tools are not very comfortable. If we use Adobe Illustrator then the selection process is very comfortable as compared to CorelDraw. Also due to World Wide popularity of Adobe Illustrator, we can find of plenty of creative stuff free of cost on the Internet. Also their is better compatibility in Adobe Illustator and Adobe Photoshop as compared to CorelDraw Adobe Illustrator.

Fantastic software!

Reviewed 5 years ago
Pros

I liked how easy it was to use. I mostly use Adobe products, but thought I'd try this for a billboard I was making. It was actually much better to use than Adobe for the billboard and I was very surprised at how intuitive everything was. Also, if you do a lot of design, I think this software is much cheaper in the long run than the creative cloud.

Cons

I didn't find anything that I didn't like about it. From what I used, this software worked better than Adobe for what I needed.

Not my first alternative for vector drawing but still a great software

Reviewed a year ago

I have created several logo designs for my business with Corel and all of them were really easy to do as the interface is very intuitive.

Pros

Really nice interface. The concept and the image of the software is really fresh and nice which I value. The functions offered are really good and complete. You can create awesome designs with it. CorelDraw does not envy anything to Adobe Illustrator. They are both really similar

Cons

Compatibility with Adobe Suite files is not the best. Also, I did not see any cloud alternative for file sharing.

Corel Draw is amateur

Corel Draw is the poor man's photoshop. Easily put. It offers nothing of what photoshop does. Its basic at best. If you are looking to advance in your skill? Use creative cloud products. Corel draw does nothing to help the masses.

Pros

Easy interface. Works with PC and MAC that is pretty much it

Cons

It is an Amateur program for beginners, offers nothing exciting, lack of filters, nothing upgradable. Customer Support is pretty bad ( they claim to care but try to upsell you on more of their awful products)

CorelDraw has become a dated cram to much into one software

Use Adobe.

Pros

CorelDraw has its place mainly with sign shops. It is great for beginners and an overall fun program to play with.

Cons

I started on Corel way back in the late 90s but soon found the the Adobe suite is a better overall fit for printers and designers alike. We have an older designer here that still uses it and the compatiblity with Adobe (which the rest of the office uses) makes it stressful. There data merge is a nightmare and after upgrading our computers to windows 10 we have had a ton of issues.

Professional Software for designs

Reviewed 3 years ago

I do most of my design works on Photoshop and Illustrator (both Adobe product), but sometimes I receive files that is easily run on Corel from other designers in my team, this is the reason I interact wit the software for the past years. Understanding how Corel can be very tedious for those of us who have gotten used to Adobe products. They should try and see how to speak a common language as other designing and creative software.

Pros

The resolution and quality output Corel produces is quite commendable and laudable. It could be used for a whole lot of things ranging from photo editing, graphic design, etc.

Cons

The major reason I keep running away from Corel is because of its complexity to understand, Corel makes professional in Adobe product, sometimes, look unprofessional when using the Corel software.

Powerful Multitasking Graphic Design Suite.

Reviewed 5 years ago
Pros

I am a Pc user and don't like to use Mac computers for Adobe Creative Suite. Although I can use Adobe on PC I admit that it is not as good as on a Mac Computer. What I like most about Corel Draw is it works wonderfully well on PC. With Corel Draw you don't need any other program to achieve your design goals. I mainly use Corel draw for designing logos, slide shows for Web. I can create and edit perfect images and logos for Web design. It also has got very powerful vector drawing features.

Industry Standard

Reviewed 4 years ago

I had been a CorelDRAW user since v3.0 until I joined the corporate world and had to be proficient with Illustrator 9.0. It is use by more agencies, clients and team members than any other Illustration/Layout software by far. Once you learn the basics and more advanced features, it's very hard to beat as far as productivity, color management, and layout is concerned.

Pros

Once you learn all the keyboard and menu shortcuts, Illustrator and the CC group is one of the quickest design and layout software.

Cons

The 227.5417" square artboard for Illustrator forces you to scale large projects for final production. Whereas CorelDRAW gives you as much working area as you can manage.

Adobe Creative Cloud logo

Adobe Creative Cloud

If you work with digital art, 2d images or video, you need Creative Cloud

Reviewed 5 years ago

I work part-time as a digital artist, so I spend most of my time in Photoshop, using a Wacom Intuos tablet and a stylus. I've used many digital-painting tools (Procreate, CorelDRAW, TwistedBrush Pro Studio, Black Ink, PhotoDonut), but Photoshop is and always will be the tool of choice for professionals.

Pros

CC offers the complete suite of tools I use as a part-time digital artist, and the range of tools are staggering: Illustrator for vector images, Photoshop and Lightroom for raster images/digital photos, InDesign for layout, Premiere for video, etc. Most of the apps have a common interface, so moving between them is intuitive. Toolbars and workspaces all have a similar look and feel.

Cons

This is professional-grade software, and while it is fairly easy for casual users to jump in and be productive, to really get the most out of the suite requires extensive experience and training and practice. That's not really a criticism, but it's definitely a caveat for anyone who thinks they can just purchase a subscription and become a digital artist in a few weeks. The learning curve is steep, but well worth it.

Adobe Creative Cloud

Adobe Creative Cloud is the foundation for my career

Reviewed 4 years ago

Since 1989, I've used Adobe products (like Adobe Illustrator 88). I've used other products through the years, like Aldus Pagemaker, Quark, and CorelDraw. The fact that someone finally placed the predominantly used products together was ingenious. Since then, it constantly keeps the user up-to-date with current updates, and you are always in synch with others in the industry. There is always something new to learn, and never a dull moment.

Pros

This software marries all the different software packages together and also provides a way to synch libraries, tools, assets, portfolios - EVERYTHING! I couldn't live without Adobe Creative Cloud. I wish they had a lifetime membership.

Cons

The cost for poor designers is what I like least about the software. My personal package costs about $600/yr, until I was able to claim my educational benefit, which cut the cost in half. For work it costs the business $5/per person, which is very unfair in the industry.

Adobe Creative Cloud

Creative Asset Development and Management of Content is A*

Reviewed 6 years ago

From creating logos; to creating stock in Adobe Spark with links and downloads; Adobe Photoshop for quick photo edits that are then used in Indesign or Illustrator. There is really so much. My most usage is Adobe Acrobat and an Invaluable tool. I am a Subscriber but will Invest and buy Adobe Acrobat. I do not know how a business can work effectively without it as most documents need eSigning or...

Pros

Adobe Creative Cloud is so very very adaptable to whatever you need it for. There are just so many tools and features that you can use and are easy to learn too if you are new to them. I love the creative flare to simple Assets that you create and how professional the content can look. Also, the use of Stock Images; Videos; etc.. that can be used across all of the Creative Cloud products. Being able to use them from the cloud makes for easy usage for business by just having a link or being able to login and see your Mobile Content.

The only thing that can be a problem is waiting for a Mobile App to upload and save what you are doing, but to be fair, this is directly related to your Internet source - Adobe is not responsible for this so I would say it is something that you as a User must ensure is clean (that is the internet source).

Cons

The interface is not as easy to use as other, less popular products. The grey-on grey text is difficult to read, and often the buttons, arrows, etc. are so small that they are difficult to use. Also, typical things like an undo button aren't available so you have to memorize shortcuts, or use menus - both of which take more time than a simple click of the button. I have also used CorelDraw for many...
