Afterpay does have late fees if you do not pay your payment on time. Although, you can set up automatic payments for the card you used the first payment for, so unless you do not have the money in your account, you will not be charged a late fee.

They threatened to freeze my account due to my request of updating my phone number after sending them my drivers license showing my full name & address, phone bill from carrier which proves number change, Canadian government ID, address and date of birth.
