Studio One overview
What is Studio One?
Studio One is an audio editing software designed to help musicians and studio engineers create, produce, record, mix, and compose songs using various virtual instruments, effects, and arrangement tools from production till album release and stage performances. The drag-and-drop interface allows artists to add audio loops, plug-in effects, and presets to music sessions, copy FX chains from multiple channels and convert musical instrument digital interface (MIDI) to audio.
Using Studio One, musicians can create deteriorating echoes with delay, pitch, chorus effects, or retro flanging and use the tone generator to produce noise, frequency sweeps, and other signal types. Producers can search and filter tracks using custom commands or keyboard shortcuts and utilize the built-in video player to synchronize song and video playback. Audio engineers can also reorder, remove or duplicate song sections and arrange soundtracks by swapping sections, changing arrangements, and shortening or lengthening solos according to requirements.
Studio One supports various audio formats including WAV, FLAC, MP3, AAC, ALAC, M4A, AIFF, CAF, and Ogg Vorbis. Other features include transient detection, time-stretching, slicing, audio quantization, and more.
