Independent research methodology
Our researchers use a mix of verified reviews, independent research, and objective methodologies to bring you selection and ranking information you can trust. While we may earn a referral fee when you visit a provider through our links or speak to an advisor, this has no influence on our research or methodology.
Verified user reviews
GetApp maintains a proprietary database of millions of in-depth, verified user reviews across thousands of products in hundreds of software categories. Our data scientists apply advanced modeling techniques to identify key insights about products based on those reviews. We may also share aggregated ratings and select excerpts from those reviews throughout our site.
Our human moderators verify that reviewers are real people and that reviews are authentic. They use leading tech to analyze text quality and to detect plagiarism and generative AI.
How GetApp ensures transparency
GetApp lists all providers across its website—not just those that pay us—so that users can make informed purchase decisions. GetApp is free for users. Software providers pay us for sponsored profiles to receive web traffic and sales opportunities. Sponsored profiles include a link-out icon that takes users to the provider’s website.

ClaimHit overview
What is ClaimHit?
ClaimHit is a patent licensing and infringement intelligence platform designed to help patent owners, in-house counsel, litigators, licensing professionals, patent brokers, technology transfer offices and IP portfolio managers identify companies and products that implement patented technology. The platform generates search results in about ninety seconds by cross-referencing patent claims against evidence drawn from multiple authoritative sources instead of relying solely on AI model outputs. ClaimHit serves organizations in telecommunications, software, semiconductors, pharmaceuticals, biotechnology, automotive, robotics, medical devices, clean energy, cybersecurity, the Internet of Things and standards essential patents. The platform is particularly valuable for university technology transfer offices seeking licensing prospects and legal teams conducting infringement analysis.
The workflow begins with the input of a patent number from the United States Patent and Trademark Office, the European Patent Office, the World Intellectual Property Organization or other covered jurisdictions. ClaimHit retrieves full patent claims from official databases and launches a parallel search architecture that employs frontier AI models alongside live web searches, neural semantic searches, forward citation analysis and domain-specific registries. The system queries component distributors such as Octopart, Digi-Key and Mouser for hardware implementations, regulatory registries for pharmaceutical labels and medical device clearances, software directories for SaaS and software products, commercial marketplaces for retail offerings and standards-body publications for standards essential patent analysis. Each candidate match is processed through a verification pipeline that performs web grounding, structural noise filtering, category-fit validation and manufacturer-page verification before classification as a good match or a possible match.
ClaimHit generates element-by-element claim charts that map each limitation of a patent claim against target products with cited evidence weighted by claim element position. The platform supports continuous monitoring at daily, weekly, monthly or quarterly intervals, with each monitoring cycle consuming a credit and triggering an alert when new matches are identified. It accepts technical documents including datasheets, manuals, application notes, regulatory filings, block diagrams, schematics and teardown images for processing through vision models. The platform also incorporates proprietary documents such as teardown reports or internal specifications into the analysis.
Collaboration features include batch uploads for multiple patents, parallel claim chart generation and a shared workspace for credit pools and search history. Integration is provided via a Model Context Protocol server implementation that enables search execution, historical scan retrieval and credit balance checks directly from AI assistants after API-key configuration. ClaimHit treats search context as confidential attorney work product that is never sold or used to train AI models, with each search isolated under the same confidentiality standards applied to legal analyses. An optional expert review service is available for manual verification of AI-generated claim charts, with subject matter experts filling evidentiary gaps and validating citations within thirty-six hours.
