Credal overview

What is Credal?

Credal is an enterprise platform for building and governing AI agents and MCP servers across large organizations and regulated industries. It functions as a centralized trust and governance layer between AI agents and enterprise systems, handling permissioning, auditing, and context curation at the platform level rather than requiring each team to rebuild controls independently. Deployment options span standard multi-tenant SaaS, managed single-tenant cloud, cloud-prem (vendor-managed inside the customer's own AWS account or Kubernetes cluster), and fully air-gapped on-premises self-hosted Kubernetes, with support for in-VPC data retention and in-VPC AI model access via AWS Bedrock and GCP Vertex.

The platform connects to 1,000+ data sources including Google Drive, Slack, Confluence, Salesforce, Jira, and Zendesk, with automatic permissions inheritance and query-time enforcement drawn directly from source systems. A governed MCP server registry allows platform teams to capture, publish, and version-control agents and MCP servers in a shared organizational registry, with role-based access control (RBAC) scoping tool access by team or role. Agents are model-agnostic, supporting OpenAI, Anthropic, Azure OpenAI, AWS Bedrock, GCP Vertex, self-hosted open-source models, and bring-your-own-key configurations. Multi-agent, multi-step workflows are supported, with human-in-the-loop approval flows for sensitive actions, sensitive data detection with automatic redaction or blocking, and AI policy enforcement that warns users or alerts IT on acceptable-use violations. Cost-to-accuracy evaluations with structured test suites, multi-dimensional scoring, and rubric score history allow systematic quality verification before agent deployment.

Credal targets large enterprises and organizations in financial services, healthcare, legal, HR, sales, customer support, and engineering functions where strict compliance is required. The platform is SOC 2 Type II certified, HIPAA-ready, GDPR-ready, and compliant with EU/UK/Swiss Data Privacy Frameworks, with zero data retention agreements with AI providers. A consolidated audit log attributes every agent action, data access, and AI cost to the responsible team, workflow, and model. Agents can be published directly into tools employees already use, including Claude, ChatGPT, Cursor, Slack, or custom applications, without requiring users to adopt a new interface. SAML SSO and SCIM integration with identity providers such as Okta is supported, and platform-level audit logs are integrable into SIEM systems via API.
