Our commitment
Independent research methodology
Our researchers use a mix of verified reviews, independent research, and objective methodologies to bring you selection and ranking information you can trust. While we may earn a referral fee when you visit a provider through our links or speak to an advisor, this has no influence on our research or methodology.
Verified user reviews
GetApp maintains a proprietary database of millions of in-depth, verified user reviews across thousands of products in hundreds of software categories. Our data scientists apply advanced modeling techniques to identify key insights about products based on those reviews. We may also share aggregated ratings and select excerpts from those reviews throughout our site.
Our human moderators verify that reviewers are real people and that reviews are authentic. They use leading tech to analyze text quality and to detect plagiarism and generative AI.
How GetApp ensures transparency
GetApp lists all providers across its website—not just those that pay us—so that users can make informed purchase decisions. GetApp is free for users. Software providers pay us for sponsored profiles to receive web traffic and sales opportunities. Sponsored profiles include a link-out icon that takes users to the provider’s website.

Demarka overview
What is Demarka?
Demarka Pro is an AI-powered trademark registrability analysis software tailored for intellectual property professionals, including trademark attorneys, IP firms and in-house counsel. The platform delivers comprehensive trademark clearance reports that assess conflict risks and absolute grounds for refusal across more than ninety jurisdictions. The software is designed and reviewed by a practicing patent attorney with over fifteen years of trademark experience.
The platform employs twenty-two distinct similarity patterns to identify potential conflicts within a database of over ninety million active and recently expired trademark records. These patterns include phonetic matching, cross-script transliteration, visual lookalike detection, common typographical variants, leetspeak substitution, word-order variations, compound and split-word analysis and number-to-word conversions. In addition to relative grounds analysis, the platform evaluates eight categories of absolute grounds for refusal on a per-jurisdiction basis by examining each mark in the official local languages rather than relying solely on English. Each jurisdiction receives an individual registration-probability score and verdict classification with plain-language reasoning that explains the specific risks identified. Reports feature per-class scoring, cited conflicts rated on visual and phonetic similarity and goods-and-services overlap and jurisdiction-specific narrative. Output options include white-labeled PDF and DOCX exports or secured client links, with the ability to adjust final verdicts to reflect professional judgment.
Demarka Pro incorporates integrated trademark watch functionality that applies the same similarity patterns to new filings and issues email alerts when potentially conflicting applications arise within opposition windows. The platform supports programmatic interaction through a Model Context Protocol server for AI assistant integration. Subscription is based on a flat monthly model with clearance report allocations counted per mark-jurisdiction combination. Data sources consist of official national trademark registries and WIPO Madrid records with continuous synchronization and exclusion of cancelled or long-expired entries. The conflict search engine operates deterministically to ensure identical queries produce consistent results and AI components are restricted to filtering non-matches and generating absolute-grounds reasoning text. All cited marks originate from official registry data with source attribution and last-update timestamps. The platform acknowledges inherent coverage limitations of registry-based clearance, including the exclusion of unregistered common-law rights, very recent filings not yet published and evidence outside official records.
Operated from the European Union and compliant with GDPR, the software focuses on word-mark clearance with planned expansion to logo and device-mark similarity analysis. Most clearance reports are generated within minutes, although extensive multi-jurisdiction analyses may require up to thirty minutes.
