Our commitment
Independent research methodology
Our researchers use a mix of verified reviews, independent research, and objective methodologies to bring you selection and ranking information you can trust. While we may earn a referral fee when you visit a provider through our links or speak to an advisor, this has no influence on our research or methodology.
Verified user reviews
GetApp maintains a proprietary database of millions of in-depth, verified user reviews across thousands of products in hundreds of software categories. Our data scientists apply advanced modeling techniques to identify key insights about products based on those reviews. We may also share aggregated ratings and select excerpts from those reviews throughout our site.
Our human moderators verify that reviewers are real people and that reviews are authentic. They use leading tech to analyze text quality and to detect plagiarism and generative AI.
How GetApp ensures transparency
GetApp lists all providers across its website—not just those that pay us—so that users can make informed purchase decisions. GetApp is free for users. Software providers pay us for sponsored profiles to receive web traffic and sales opportunities. Sponsored profiles include a link-out icon that takes users to the provider’s website.

DocuGrip overview
What is DocuGrip?
DocuGrip is a browser-based PDF tooling platform covering 100+ tools across five core categories: Organize, Convert, Edit, Optimize, and Security, plus an AI and Translate category. All file processing occurs locally by default, meaning documents are never uploaded to a server, retained after a session, or modified at the source. Output fidelity is preserved byte-for-byte, with no re-rendering of images, fonts, or vector artwork. When transmission does occur, data is encrypted in transit. A free daily tier requires no credit card, and unlimited access is available from $3.
Organize tools include PDF merging, splitting, page extraction, page removal, and bookmark editing across 19+ tools. Convert tools span PDF-to-Word, Word-to-PDF, PDF-to-Excel, Excel-to-PDF, PDF-to-PowerPoint, and PowerPoint-to-PDF across 46+ tools. Edit tools cover rotation, page numbering, watermarking, metadata editing, cropping, and PDF/A validation across 28+ tools. Optimize tools address compression, blank page removal, accessibility checking and fixing, scanned PDF detection, and print checks across 11+ tools. Security tools include redaction, redaction checking, sanitization, password protection, unlocking, and PDF signing across 10+ tools. Files can be sourced from a local device, Google Drive, Dropbox, or OneDrive, with Box support coming soon. Paste-from-clipboard input is also supported.
DocuGrip targets individuals and organizations requiring privacy-first PDF processing without vendor lock-in or data exposure risk. No watermark is applied on any plan. Additional capabilities including Forms, an AI Book Maker, a Resume Builder, and an MCP Server integration are listed as forthcoming or in active development, extending the platform's scope for document automation workflows.
