Our commitment
Independent research methodology
Our researchers use a mix of verified reviews, independent research, and objective methodologies to bring you selection and ranking information you can trust. While we may earn a referral fee when you visit a provider through our links or speak to an advisor, this has no influence on our research or methodology.
Verified user reviews
GetApp maintains a proprietary database of millions of in-depth, verified user reviews across thousands of products in hundreds of software categories. Our data scientists apply advanced modeling techniques to identify key insights about products based on those reviews. We may also share aggregated ratings and select excerpts from those reviews throughout our site.
Our human moderators verify that reviewers are real people and that reviews are authentic. They use leading tech to analyze text quality and to detect plagiarism and generative AI.
How GetApp ensures transparency
GetApp lists all providers across its website—not just those that pay us—so that users can make informed purchase decisions. GetApp is free for users. Software providers pay us for sponsored profiles to receive web traffic and sales opportunities. Sponsored profiles include a link-out icon that takes users to the provider’s website.

DutyOS overview
What is DutyOS?
DutyOS is compliance software for the two ends of a UK waste movement: the permitted sites that receive waste, and the registered carriers, brokers and dealers that move it. Since 1 October 2026 a permitted site in England and Wales must report every load it receives to DEFRA's Digital Waste Tracking service within two working days.
For a receiving site, the load is logged at the gate or at the weighbridge, and the site's name, permit number and address fill in from its settings instead of being typed for every load. The waste code is chosen from all 842 codes in DEFRA's catalogue, a photo of the driver's paperwork is kept with the receipt as evidence, and the deadline for each load is shown in UK time. Receipts can be exported to CSV at any time.
For carriers, DutyOS files a waste transfer note with every statutory field in one form, takes the signature on screen and locks it once the note is filed. DutyOS is on GOV.UK's list of software providers for the Report receipt of waste service, records are stored in London, and DutyOS Ltd holds a Cyber Essentials certificate. Receiving sites start at £19.99 + VAT a month, with 7 days free.
