Our commitment
Independent research methodology
Our researchers use a mix of verified reviews, independent research, and objective methodologies to bring you selection and ranking information you can trust. While we may earn a referral fee when you visit a provider through our links or speak to an advisor, this has no influence on our research or methodology.
Verified user reviews
GetApp maintains a proprietary database of millions of in-depth, verified user reviews across thousands of products in hundreds of software categories. Our data scientists apply advanced modeling techniques to identify key insights about products based on those reviews. We may also share aggregated ratings and select excerpts from those reviews throughout our site.
Our human moderators verify that reviewers are real people and that reviews are authentic. They use leading tech to analyze text quality and to detect plagiarism and generative AI.
How GetApp ensures transparency
GetApp lists all providers across its website—not just those that pay us—so that users can make informed purchase decisions. GetApp is free for users. Software providers pay us for sponsored profiles to receive web traffic and sales opportunities. Sponsored profiles include a link-out icon that takes users to the provider’s website.

EpiSensor Edge overview
What is EpiSensor Edge?
EpiSensor Edge is site-local software for connected commercial and industrial facilities, running on an EpiSensor Gateway or on a user-supplied server, virtual machine, or Raspberry Pi. It connects wired and wireless devices across Zigbee, LoRaWAN, Modbus TCP/RTU, BACnet/IP, and OPC UA through a single unified data model, records data on site, and continues recording and executing automation rules without a persistent internet connection. Target users include energy service providers, demand response aggregators, system integrators, and facilities managers operating in sectors such as data centres, manufacturing, food processing, pharmaceutical, cold chain, and grid-scale battery installations.
The platform provides configurable dashboards with widgets for single values, trend charts, gauges, tables, alerts, floor plan callouts, controls, and room overviews. Automation rules trigger on thresholds, schedules, or equipment state changes, and execute locally on site, supporting demand response, virtual power plant (VPP) management, and tariff optimisation without reliance on external connectivity. A data workspace allows operators to compare sensors and time periods, adjust chart axes, and export data to CSV. Buildings, floors, rooms, and assets can be organised to display live conditions in physical context, including floor plan views.
Calculated sensors combine multiple sensor inputs into derived values usable across dashboards, automation rules, and API exports. A mobile app supports device commissioning via barcode or serial scan, live floor-level room condition views, device status browsing, alert review, and automation rule management. Authenticated APIs and a visual programming environment (Edge Flows and Edge Snaps) allow integration with existing external energy software platforms without replacing them. EpiSensor Edge is included with every EpiSensor Gateway at no additional software cost for EpiSensor devices; per-device licences are available for third-party devices.
