Our commitment
Independent research methodology
Our researchers use a mix of verified reviews, independent research, and objective methodologies to bring you selection and ranking information you can trust. While we may earn a referral fee when you visit a provider through our links or speak to an advisor, this has no influence on our research or methodology.
Verified user reviews
GetApp maintains a proprietary database of millions of in-depth, verified user reviews across thousands of products in hundreds of software categories. Our data scientists apply advanced modeling techniques to identify key insights about products based on those reviews. We may also share aggregated ratings and select excerpts from those reviews throughout our site.
Our human moderators verify that reviewers are real people and that reviews are authentic. They use leading tech to analyze text quality and to detect plagiarism and generative AI.
How GetApp ensures transparency
GetApp lists all providers across its website—not just those that pay us—so that users can make informed purchase decisions. GetApp is free for users. Software providers pay us for sponsored profiles to receive web traffic and sales opportunities. Sponsored profiles include a link-out icon that takes users to the provider’s website.

Eventist overview
What is Eventist?
Eventist is a cloud-based, all-in-one event management platform serving festivals, conferences, concerts, competitions, studios, and general ticketed events. Designed for independent event organizers, festival directors, competition organizers, concert promoters, venue operators, and conference organizers, it consolidates ticketing, scheduling, check-in, marketing automation, staff management, venue logistics, and real-time analytics into a single system. Events can be created, ticketed, and published in under 15 minutes, and checkout can be embedded directly on the organizer's own domain. Priced on a flat per-ticket fee with no subscriptions, no setup costs, no percentage-based fees, and no per-feature upsells, with free events at no charge.
The platform covers the full event lifecycle. Ticketing supports general admission, VIP packages, reserved seats, early bird tiers, and exhibitor packages with individual caps. Scheduling uses drag-and-drop controls for multi-stage and multi-day events, with automatic conflict detection and AI-suggested room and slot assignments that push updates to performer dashboards and the attendee-facing schedule. Check-in is handled via phone-based QR scanning with offline support and duplicate-ticket flagging. Marketing tools include abandoned cart recovery by email and SMS, automated email sequences from registration through post-event follow-up, promoter referral links with trackable commissions, retargeting pixels, and ad management from one dashboard. Staff management covers shift scheduling across roles, days, and zones, each with a live dashboard. Competition organizers gain division and heat scheduling, live judge scoring with configurable weighted scorecards, and instant placement determination. Attendees access a personal portal with their schedule, an interactive venue map, and day-of details.
Eventist is Canadian-built, backed by the University of Waterloo Velocity incubator, and offers Canadian data residency with PIPEDA compliance. Organizers retain ownership of their attendee lists. Infrastructure is built to handle on-sale surges from lineup announcements and early-bird releases. One-on-one Canadian support is included, with the first three hours free and on-site support available for larger events. Festivals using the platform report saving 1,000+ hours and $30,000 per event; conference organizers report saving 800+ hours and $25,000 per event; concert promoters report saving 500+ hours and $20,000 per event.
