Frontier HSA is a pay-as-you-go Health Spending Account for incorporated Canadian businesses and their employees. An HSA lets your corporation reimburse eligible medical expenses. When the business and plan meet the applicable requirements, reimbursements can be deductible to the corporation and tax-free to the employee.

Your business sets an annual claim limit for each eligible employee. You pay nothing upfront. Your business funds approved claims, an 8% administration fee, and applicable taxes. There is no setup, monthly, or annual fee. Unused limits cost you nothing.

Employees submit receipts through their Frontier HSA account. Frontier HSA reviews claims against the plan. Most claims are processed and reimbursed within 24 hours. Eligible expenses can include dental treatment, prescription glasses, prescription drugs, physiotherapy, and other medical care. Coverage depends on the plan, the expense, and any practitioner or prescription requirements.

Frontier HSA is not health insurance. You can use it on its own or alongside insurance, subject to the terms of both plans. It is built for eligible incorporated Canadian businesses and their employees, including a qualifying shareholder-employee who actively works in the corporation's day-to-day operations and receives the benefit because of that employment, not simply because they own shares.
