A Microsoft Project plan carries far more than its Gantt chart shows: client names in task titles, people in the resource sheet, hourly rates, costs, up to eleven baselines, private notes, and custom fields whose names alone give things away. Hiding columns removes none of it, and Microsoft Project has no Document Inspector.

GanttShield for Microsoft Project is a standalone Windows application that writes a clean copy of the plan, ready to send:

• Tasks become stable IDs such as TASK-000214, so reviewers can still refer to them. Structure, dates and durations stay readable.

• Resources become neutral codes such as RES-0007, or are removed together with the financial data.

• Costs, actuals, fixed costs, work, assignments, all eleven baselines and the numeric custom fields are cleared in one pass.

• Notes and document properties are emptied; custom document properties are deleted.

• Two outputs: an .mpp copy written through Microsoft Project, or an .xml copy that needs no Microsoft Project at all and also empties the text, date and flag custom fields together with their names.

• Batch mode cleans several plans in one run.

The original file is opened read-only and never saved. Nothing is uploaded: processing is local and needs no internet connection. GanttShield refuses master plans and files connected to a shared resource pool rather than process them halfway.
