Gixo Folio - 2026 Pricing, Features, Reviews & Alternatives

Gixo Folio is a cloud-based, persistent workspace for long-form manuscript projects including books, playbooks, training manuals, and exportable courses. Authors define the topic, audience, and intended outcome; the platform generates a chapter-by-chapter outline calibrated to a target word count and the chosen long-form format before drafting begins. Each chapter is then drafted with AI assistance using full context from all previously approved manuscript material, maintaining consistency across the entire work. The workspace is hosted on the Gixo platform built on .NET 10 and server-side Blazor, accessible via web browser, with subscriptions available directly or through Azure Marketplace and private enterprise offers.

Every chapter version is saved automatically, allowing authors to compare drafts, restore prior versions, and keep the full revision history reviewable at any stage. On completion, manuscripts can be exported in EPUB, editable DOCX, chapter PDF, HTML, Markdown, or SCORM formats from the same workspace. Localized editions can be produced from an approved manuscript for new markets. Planning and import are available at no cost; AI drafting and export require a paid plan starting at $19 per month for the Author plan (10 AI-drafted chapters per month, 1 seat) or $99 per month for the Pro plan (50 AI-drafted chapters per month, one audiobook or translation edition included monthly, white-label and SCORM export, 1 seat).

Gixo Folio targets individual authors, serial authors, course creators, and ghostwriting workloads producing authority books, client assets, training materials, or exportable editions. It is not positioned for authors whose manuscript is already finished and who require only specialist formatting. A suite of free tools is included: Book Page Count Calculator, Book Publishing Preflight Check, Chapter Balance Checker, DOCX to EPUB Converter, Editorial Style Sheet Builder, and EPUB Preflight Checker. Target industries include publishing, professional authorship, corporate training and learning development, ghostwriting, course creation, and knowledge-product businesses.
