Our commitment
Independent research methodology
Our researchers use a mix of verified reviews, independent research, and objective methodologies to bring you selection and ranking information you can trust. While we may earn a referral fee when you visit a provider through our links or speak to an advisor, this has no influence on our research or methodology.
Verified user reviews
GetApp maintains a proprietary database of millions of in-depth, verified user reviews across thousands of products in hundreds of software categories. Our data scientists apply advanced modeling techniques to identify key insights about products based on those reviews. We may also share aggregated ratings and select excerpts from those reviews throughout our site.
Our human moderators verify that reviewers are real people and that reviews are authentic. They use leading tech to analyze text quality and to detect plagiarism and generative AI.
How GetApp ensures transparency
GetApp lists all providers across its website—not just those that pay us—so that users can make informed purchase decisions. GetApp is free for users. Software providers pay us for sponsored profiles to receive web traffic and sales opportunities. Sponsored profiles include a link-out icon that takes users to the provider’s website.

Mayday overview
What is Mayday?
Mayday is a cloud-based month-end automation and close management platform built for in-house finance teams and accounting firms operating on Xero, QuickBooks Online, or Intuit Enterprise Suite. It addresses two distinct halves of the month-end process: coordination, covering task management, balance sheet reconciliations, ownership assignment, review workflows, and close progress tracking; and automation, covering intercompany reconciliations, recharges, prepayments, deferred revenue, accruals, and adjusting journals. Mayday operates as a layer on top of the connected accounting system rather than replacing it, and integrates directly with Xero, QuickBooks Online, and Intuit Enterprise Suite. Data is hosted on AWS (London region), encrypted at rest with AES-256, and in transit with TLS 1.2 or higher.
Mayday serves growing businesses at the mid-market end of SMB, including organisations with revenues above $50 million and $100 million that operate without a traditional ERP, as well as accounting and bookkeeping firms managing multi-entity client groups. The platform supports both single-entity and multi-entity structures. Core modules include Balancer for intercompany AR/AP alignment and discrepancy detection across entities; Recharger for configurable intercompany and interdepartmental recharge automation; BRAG (Bank Reconciliation Across Group) for cross-entity bank reconciliation within Xero's native dashboard; Mayday HQ for centralised Chart of Accounts, Tracking Categories, lock dates, and contact management across multiple Xero entities; Deferred Revenue and Prepayments for automated schedule creation and journal posting; Accruals for recurring and ad-hoc accrual management; Flux for month-on-month P&L variance analysis with automated commentary; and Close Management (Easy Month End) for consolidated close coordination.
Mayday AIR, the platform's AI engine, applies recognised accounting principles and learns patterns from each organisation's accounting files to surface suggestions across modules, including potential accruals and reversals, transactions likely requiring deferred revenue or prepayment treatment, P&L variance commentary drafts, and possible account code mispostings. The AI is pre-trained on synthetic data and explicit customer consent only. Finance teams retain full review, edit, approve, or reject control over all AI suggestions before any posting occurs. Pricing scales by number of entities rather than user count, with unlimited users included on every plan and a 30-day free trial available without a credit card.
