What is metly?
metly is a cloud-based Shopify app that gives merchants and catalog managers a spreadsheet-style interface for bulk editing product metafields across large catalogs. Rather than editing metafields one product at a time, users can select multiple products, apply a preset or custom template, and push updates to SEO fields, dimensions, shipping data, marketing copy, SKUs, barcodes, and tags in a single operation. CSV import and export is supported, and preset views for Dimensions, SEO, Marketing, and Shipping allow teams to focus edits by data category.
A built-in AI Metafield Generator panel accelerates content production by automatically populating SEO titles, descriptions, and keywords, product dimensions, and marketing copy based on existing product information. Users select a product set and a template category, and the AI fills the corresponding metafields without requiring manual content authoring. The generator covers SEO, Dimensions, and Marketing categories.
metly targets Shopify merchants across general retail and ecommerce verticals who manage high-volume product catalogs and need to maintain consistent, structured metafield data at scale. The app runs entirely in the browser through Shopify App Store infrastructure, with no on-premises installation required, and is available at $9.99/month following a 7-day free trial.
