Openlane overview

What is Openlane?

Openlane is a cloud-based PIM/PXM platform built for manufacturers and brands managing complex product catalogs across B2B, D2C, or combined channel strategies. The platform consolidates product attributes, categories, variants, pricing, availability, market and language data from ERP systems, files, and other business sources into a single shared product record, eliminating data inconsistencies across teams and sales channels. Integrated digital asset management links images, videos, manuals, technical data sheets, labels, and sales materials directly to the corresponding product record.

Openlane supports the full catalog lifecycle: configurable publication rules per channel, automated completeness checks that separate blocking errors from review items, and role-based approval workflows coordinate team contributions before content goes live. Multichannel publishing adapts content to the specific requirements of ecommerce storefronts, marketplaces, B2B portals, and product feeds, distributing via native connectors, imports, and exports without requiring catalog rebuilds per destination. Native integrations include Adobe Commerce/Magento, Shopify, PrestaShop, SAP, Business Central, Infor M3, Google Merchant Center, Meta Catalog, TikTok Catalog, Pinterest Catalog, Lengow, ChannelEngine, and Highstreet.io, with custom exports available in JSON, CSV, and XML.

Openlane also connects catalog quality to commercial outcomes by correlating product record completeness with Google Analytics and Google Search Console data. This surfaces products with high visibility but low click-through rates, or high traffic but low add-to-cart conversion, allowing teams to prioritize improvement efforts where they have the greatest sales impact. AI-assisted capabilities support content quality checks, copy generation from existing product specs, multilingual translation, and performance-based suggestions for titles, descriptions, and attributes, all subject to team review and approval before publication. The configurable data model, workflows, roles, and integrations are designed to adapt to each organization's existing processes and systems.
